Best place in town for sushi in my opinion! Closest taste to fresh east coast sushi. Beats Paradise by far. Definitely pricey, but it is worth it!…

Great place, bunch of sushi places in town, but this one is the best. Food and service great, even remembered our names!!!!
Terrible Service — First and last time there!. Took a long time to get served and it was obvious that no one was happy to be at work. Our table did not experience one smile during lunch. I asked for a sushi menu and had to go and get it myself. I had to get up and ask for wasabi and ginger and they said they would bring it to me. They never did. The bill came and had just a total on it, it was not broken down. If you are going to say there is crab in the sushi and it turns out to be imitation crab, you better say it on the menu. Don’t bring sushi lovers here. When I got back to work I looked at their website and realized that they didn’t bring half their items around to our table.
Now I know why there is no Asians eating at this dim sum place. That really tells you something doesn’t it?26 Jan, 2013I was really having my hopes up for this dimsum place. Ming dynasty has disappointed me twice in a roll, I have been looking forward to try this only other dimsum place in town!First of all, the service was pretty bad. The place seemed under staffed, nobody was greeting you or anything, the wait for food was long.Second, there is no price on the menu, I didn’t know how much everything was until the lady gave me a check at the end, what a pleasant surprise!Third, the menu was not authentic at all, not to mention the quality of the food. Sweet pork buns were filled with some sweetened starch paste, very little meat was in there; shui Mai was stuffed with sticky rice, which I have never seen before ( grew up in southern china, I have had plenty dimsum!). There are lots of typical dimsum items were missing on their menu, and substituted with some other random stuff, which probably the owner made up of.What a disappointment! Will never go there again!
Tasty, but bites your wallet. I like dim sum, I like sushi. This was by no means the best place in town, but it’s a nice place for taking a friend who doesn’t care for sushi too much. Veggie tempura was very nice. The cooks made sure to clean the counters and appliances when I mentioned shellfish is an allergy of mine. I am impressed by their thoroughness.
Dim Sum Expert … Not. For the person who bagged on Ming Dynasty – stick to your day time job, dont ever consider becoming a chef, and continue to eat your frozen processed crap food.
Sushi Yes, Dim Sum NO. Heres the thing. I don’t claim to be a food critic nor do I consider myself a food snob. I have to say, I really disliked Amer Asia’s Dim Sum. Everything tasted like it was a week old and not fresh. There simply isn’t enough demand for Dim Sum in a Green Chile/Americana gobbling based city. I’m not saying it was appalling. Ming Dynasty is the worst Dim Sum in Albuquerque. Even if I had to choose between two evils, I would travel out of state for dim sum. I come from an Asian American background and know what Dim Sum is supposed to taste like. This place and Ming Dynasty (Die Nasty) has obviously got everyone fooled. Shumai is not supposed to taste like this people. Shumai is supposed to be made with ground pork and not primarily grain or rice inside: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shumai. PLUS, this place is overpriced. Granted I’m not in the Bay Area or the San Gabriel Valley in CA but I would pay 50% less easily than what I paid for, for Dim Sum. They don’t give you a menu to tell you how much everything is. I will not go back to this place for Dim Sum. On the other hand, a saving grace, I’ve had Sumo Sushi once and it is pretty good, I would say 3rd to Shogun on Central and Azuma off San Mateo. BOTTOM LINE- Sushi a YES, Dim Sum a NO- go to Talin Market off Louisiana Blvd. and get frozen Dim Sum. You’re better off and it’s much cheaper. Don’t be fooled by the other reviews.
Have eaten here twice. What a gem! Good sushi. Quick service.
