Caf Lush is one of the best places to eat downtown. They have a cute little patio with umbrellas, and it’s perfect to sit out there on a sunny day with a slight breeze. They have a gluten-free friendly menu and their gluten-free pizza crust is amazing. The crust is grilled and the texture isn’t mushy at all. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is their Jeremy Pizza. The combination of different flavors is amazing and just thinking about it has my mouth watering. Only off-street parking and paid parking is available. The reason I gave it 4.5 stars out of 5 is because I wish they were open for dinner. So many times I would have loved to pick up one of their pizzas or fresh-made sandwiches on the way home from work.I have celiac disease and I’m so thankful they have a menu that clearly identifies which dishes are gluten free. Though they have gluten free options available, I really hope they’re aware of cross-contamination, how to avoid it and follow the necessary precautions to make sure the gluten free meals stay gluten free. I wish they would address this on their menu.
Local Treat. Just blocks from the busy downtown area sits Cafe Lush on a cute street corner. The cafe is inviting with both indoor and outdoor seating and offers a great menu that features a fixed price. The dishes are comprised of organic and local ingredients. Service was a little slow, but the portions were generous and food was delicious. Our plates were complimented by fresh fruit and small tasty muffins. A great place for a lazy Sunday brunch.
Gluten free!. Three of us went for breakfast. I had the breakfast pizza and two had the lushaladas. The pizza was ok, the eggs were cooked perfectly, I had both red and green chile. I liked the flavor of the green better on the pizza but I had a bite of the lushaladas with red and they were delicious! I’ll go back for those. The French toast sounds awesome and I’m looking forward to trying that as well. It’s a small place with a cozy atmosphere. One minor complaint, my friend wanted jam or jelly for her toast and they didn’t have any. Also the gluten free bread…the gave me one piece cut in half and the one piece was not the size of a regular slice of bread. I know that gluten free bread is expensive but these were toast points really. But the bread was very tasty and I’ll go back.
Recently ate lunch here. I ordered the Boody which despite the name tasted very good. It was nice and garlicky. My husband ordered the roast beef wrap which he reported to be a bit dry. It was an overall pleasant experience and I would dine here again.
**Must love Cafe Lush!** Really can’t get over how delicious lunch was this afternoon. I had The Boody on gluten free crust and my husband had The St. Gregory Burger with gluten free bread. We both had some coffee, too. The service was great and everything was very clean. The restroom is located next to the actual restaurant (which at first concerned me), but it was very tidy and quite lovely. This is the best place we have EVER eaten lunch in Albuquerque and we STRONGLY recommend you and yours go. We had the opportunity to meet the owner as well and as expected he was great, too!
Good Service-Ok Food. I have to tell you that writing this review I really do not want to be negative because our waitress was so nice and friendly and helpful. However it took nearly minutes to get our food on a Saturday Morning around 11 am, and when we received our food I was not very impressed. The only thing that was worth eating were my hash browns, everything else was ok. Again I had such great service it was hard for me to really say anything negative about this place, I will try again perhaps during the week.
