Another great lunch spot for the downtown crowd. Lunch options include sandwiches, soup, and frito pies. The wait is sometimes out of hand at lunchtime but worth every minute!

Excellent Food. This is my go to place when I need a good lunch quick. The owners are friendly and the food has never let me down. Their Frito Pie is a must try but you will want an extra napkin or two. The prices are also very reasonable and I for one am very happy to see an independent sandwich shop thriving right next door to a Subway.

    Outstanding. Great sandwiches!

Yummy!. Great little mom and pop shop with friendly service, reasonable prices, and tasty, fresh food. Various daily specials. You can’t go wrong with anything you order.

Extremely friendly service and good sized sandwiches. Reasonably priced, good to-go meals.

Best Breakfast Burritos Downtown!!!. I’ve lived in Albuquerque for 26 years and consider myself somewhat of a breakfast burrito connoisseur. Even though taste is subjective, I have tasted a lot of good and bad breakfast burritos. Friends Cafe has, by far, the best breakfast burritos downtown. I’ve worked downtown for 6 years, and have tried EVERYTHING. The green chile is fresh and roasted, the burrito itself is HUGE, and the cheese they use is awesome and they pile it in there. Usually, I have to make a burrito at home to get this much cheese in it. Plus, their homemade salsa is super tasty, and it does not taste like any of the traditional picante style salsa you see everywhere else. Finally, anyone that goes there knows their staff is super friendly and nice to be around.I highly recommend this place!!

Simple, tasty fare made fresh while you watch. Great food and nice, friendly people. Order at the counter and watch them make it fresh. Sandwhiches and soups like you’d make yourself, and they don’t skimp on the ingredients.
