FANTASTIC!. Everything about this little cafe is awesome! Their specials are generous, sandwiches, soups and salads are very fresh and have an amazing variety! The staff is friendly and attentive, one of the best things about Gold Rush! I was in town with my husband and after 2 days they knew me by name (yes, I was there everyday)! DELICIOUS! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu at Gold Rush! GET A CUPCAKE!!!
Best Cupcakes and SERVICE in the CITY!. Melanie at Gold Rush is truly a master baker and all around fabulous local business woman. She created the cupcakes for our wedding and they were the talk of the party! She understood what we were looking for and made the cupcakes of our dreams. They were delicious, beautiful, and the frosting was to die for! Each time I met with her, I felt so much confidence in choosing Gold Rush for such an important part of our wedding. My husband and I tried to save a few cupcakes in the freezer for our one year anniversary, but ended up eating them for our one WEEK anniversary because we couldn’t wait! They were the first things we ate off of our wedding dishes. Gold Rush Cupcakes is a wonderful local business and we are lucky to have such delicious cupcakes in ABQ!
We happened to be in town on a Sunday for a race downtown. One of the runners pointed at the store and said even though it was closed, we should look through the window. Well, the owner was there prepping for the next day and noticed us peeping. It happened that she had exactly nine samples for the nine of us! Perfectly sized cupcake bites counteracted all the running we did. All of us enjoyed them. Mine was a strawberry filled strawberry shortcakeesque cupcake. So good without being oversweet. What was sweet was the attentiveness of the owner on the day she was closed. That kind of hospitality leaves a good taste in your mouth! Next time we come to burque when its not Sunday, we’re definitely coming back.
Delicious cupcakes! We were peeking in the window b/c the store was closed and the owner happened to be inside. She came out and gave my friends and I some samples! We will definitely stop by the next time we drive up from El Paso! The samples were excellent!!

Birthday Party in my mouth!. We ordered cupcakes for a couple of coworkers birthdays. And they were the best cupcakes any of us had ever had! I can’t say enough about how amazing they taste. One of our coworkers is a bit of a cupcake snob and she was in heaven with these cupcakes. These are a must must must try! I know we will be back.
