They have the best green chili bread in town which is a lot for New Mexico, and they specialize in a blue corn dough you can get as a pizza crust. Everything is local, they just expanded, and have also been featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners DriveIns and Dives!
One of those gems that makes you proud of your city. This is an excellent choice for someone looking for great food at a great price. The quality is incredible, the atmosphere cozy, and the staff amiable. I enjoyed the best pastrami & provolone I’ve had thus far, coupled with La Cumbre’s Project Dank. The empanadas are exquisite as well. This is the sort of eatery I will bring every single one of my out-of-town friends to, and will ensure I frequent myself!
Great Little PlaceStopped in for a pastry and some coffee. The latte was nice (although an option of skim milk would have been appreciated). The tostada, we were told, is something like a cross between a cinnamon roll and a French palmier (aka elephant ear). It was much closer to the palmier and it was very nice.Upon entering we were given a cookie to try, which was very nice. All the staff were extra friendly and helpful.
A Local Treasure. What a joy it is to go to GCP!!! They never fail to deliver on outstanding bread, pastries and now pizza and sandwiches. Pratt and crew have built an impressive business and brand. We are lucky to have GCP. It is truly a local treasure and treat!!
Piggy Cookies. These are so great. Wonderful to dip in coffee but if you can get the day old ones they hold up better when dipping and taste just as good
I wasn’t too impressed with the selection – maybe I was there too late – but the empanadas that I purchased were good. They really do hand you a free cookie when you walk in. Pretty cool.
We are visiting from Nashville and love a one off. This placed fits the delicious bill. The super friendly staff greeted us with fresh Mexican cookies when we walked in the door. The green chile crust house pizza was delicious and the toasted, buttered chile bread was spank-yo-self good!!
