We ended up staying at the hotel this resturant is attached to and we’re not expecting the level of fancy all the reviews have stated. We started our meal with the artichoke tapas and the artichokes were whole and grilled to perfection. They were so good we ate them before getting a picture. We did have to ask for coca for the left over goat cheese that came with the artichokes but that’s no love lost. Then we had the Classic Palle and the Civeche. The Civeche had huge chunks of fish and was impossible to eat without a fork. We didnt like it. The Palle was ok, nothing great. If you like vegys this place has that down pat but not so much for the rest.
I’ve eaten at Mas 4 times and each time has been delicious and enjoyable. The service is excellent, the drinks fm the bar are very tasty (try the Mojito and the Sangria) and all the tapas were enjoyed by everyone. I thought that the prices were very reasonable and the quality was excellent. You can park in the garage next to the Hotel Andaluz and get the ticket validated at reception. Try a little of everything. The Mezze plate has a lot of food, more than some of the other dishes, and I found out that I liked their roasted beets (that’s a first) and the smoked salmon nachos are great
I love Ms! I’ve had food/drinks here a few times while staying in the hotel. The tapas are amazing (highly recommend the cheese plate and the bacon wrapped dates) and the blood orange mimosas are to die for! I ordered room service for breakfast and it arrived promptly and everything was perfect right down to the iced tea. Highly recommend!!
We had breakfast here after staying in the hotel after a nice b-day party upstairs. The food was pretty good, the staff was slow, obviously short staffed-shocking for a Sunday morning. The atmosphere was relaxing.
Ms Tapas Y Vino – Ms James Campbell Caruso. James Campbell Caruso for Guru of the Universe! Anyone who can put together a menu like his current one is a divine genius. And by putting together, I dont mean a list of mouth-watering sensations. I mean, a combination of flavors and tastes that is designed to have you forego climbing the highest mountain to ask the meaning of life … and experience it right here, right now at Ms Tapas Y Vino. Wifey and I ate here on a Friday evening. I had noticed, online, a menu change and I began to salivate vigorously. Now, if Im salivating by merely looking at a menu … what am I going to do when I actually taste the food? Salty, sweet, bitter, sour … singly and together in a unison called perfection. A long-lasting and coating sensation over the tongue … called Umami by some; called James Campbell Caruso by me. This is dining. This is, to me, what a diner should experience when being separated from ones cash: Its a separation from whom you think you are and to be transported to the highest mountain top and to not even care about the meaning of life. To experience the transport of food across your tongue and journey to the center of your being. Yum-am-i. Umami. A chorus fills the mind.Wifey was in ecstasy with her roasted beet and spanish goat cheese salad / manchego with membrillo and grilled asparagus wrapped in smoked salmon with goat cheese and capers. Me, jamon serrano with vermouth poached pears, the summer watermelon salad with feta, kalamata olives and basil -mint vinaigrette plus the grilled NM flatiron steak with smoky sea salt caramel. Endless undulations of the brain. Gregorian chants. Ululations.Whew! The plating was perfect. Food expertly prepared. The timing, service and all the things that make for a special restaurant was impeccable: Lighting, seating, utensils, ambience, music in the background – attention to detail. Add all of that up and you have something greater than the sum of its parts. I wrote about this restaurant location when it first opened … saying then, WOW! …. Im going to go all out and say that the new incarnation with Mr. Caruso at the helm is way past that … world class. Bravo. And THANK YOU for being in this town serving up the best taste sensations ever.
We had a group of 30 for our Christmas Lunch. We selected from a limited menu because of the size of our group. Overall, the reports were very good! We loved and devoured each and every tapa delivered to our table. I caught a few people nearly licking their plates! Lunch entrees were delicious as well! We will be back! Good service and delectable food!
Great selection of creative tapas and usual entrees. Me and my group of 4 friends sat at one of the two beautiful community tables. We had a great view of the chef team in action as well as the bustling bar scene. Most of them shared tapas including the delicious fried shrimp, and grilled eggplant with melted manchego. I indulged in the lamb chop entree with mint and garlic sauce and squash pure with goat cheese. The dish was cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic as well. Our server Giuseppe was very attentive and knowledgable, he had great recommendations. I can’t wait to return to try some more of the chef culinary wizardry! We will definitely be coming back to Albuquerque’s best new restaurant!!
