Plenty of other delicious eateries in ABQ WITH excellent service. From start to finish the service left one wondering if this establishment cares at all about its patrons. -Hostess could barely be bothered to greet us, let alone crack a smile in our direction (offputting but not the end of the world).-We sat completely ignored for the first five minutes (alright maybe he was waiting for our friends to join us). -Waiter could barely be bothered with questions about the menu when it was time to order(we were his only table).-Wine must have been rationed as we were never offered more after our first bottle(split between four people and finished five minutes into our meal).-Water was never refilled (actually one glass was refilled as all others lay empty).-Felt like a drive by when asked how our food was (food was pretty much gone by the time the drive by occurred).-Left our dirty plates in front of us for an excessive amount of time (apparently no drive by for dirty plates). – The bill was handed to us and then dessert was mentioned as an obvious after thought (It was 8 PM Coffee would have been nice).-Our company was excellent so we stayed for an hour chatting never once being asked if we would like a refresher on water or perhaps dessert after all. (If asked I would have loved a glass of wine or coffee AND water) The food was delicious. the company was excellent, the service left a crappy taste in my mouth. Will not be back, there are plenty of other restaurants in ABQ with excellent food AND superb service.
Absolutely Phenomenal!. On vacation in Albuquerque and stumbled upon thus amazing place. The food is absolutely fantastic. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is excellent. Highly recommend the fried stuffed olives, Ahi Tuna, and Chicken Fried Steak. The bread pudding is to die for!!
Wonderful Brunch. Can’t wait to try dinner…
Excellent every time…. I visit Albuquerque every week or two for business and Slate Street Cafe is always on my list for a visit. Great environment, good service, and I still haven’t had anything less than excellent food. The breakfast and coffee are delicious as well as the lunches. Everything is reasonably priced. Definitely worth a stop…
Tonight. Well, I have had a very high opinion of Slate Street until tonight. This is the first time I went for dinner. I’ve always gone for brunch. I ordered the Italian style dusted ribeye and it was the worst steak I’ve had in years. Whatever they did to this thin piece of meat was terrible and unappetizing. I asked for medium rare and there was barely, if any pink. I’ve loved their brunch, but after paying $28 dollars for this meal, I think it will be a VERY long time until I come back.
Excellent wait staff! The waiters are friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The food was delicious I had the veggie pot pie and was blown away by the crisp veggies and buttery cream sauce. We also indulged in the dessert menu, DO NOT skip dessert!! The apple delight was absolutely delightful with an excellent cup of coffee.
