Hidden Gem in Downtown Albuquerque. We stopped by this little cafe since we live in the neighborhood and it piqued our curiosity. I am certainly glad we did! What I thought was just a little coffee shop is actually a fantastic restaurant. While we were there enjoying our coffee, I noticed that they have a selection of quiche and pies. Then Chef Zod visited our table and brought us a sample of his homemade ice cream. It was delicious! We decided we just had to come back that evening for dinner. We were not disappointed. For dinner we had a chips and salsa, a bow tie pasta dish, and pizza. Everything we had was exquisite! We have a four-year-old with a decidedly unadventurous palate, so the Chef made her a small cheese pizza which she devoured. Tiles de Santa Fe does not have a set menu, and currently they only serve dinner Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Each weekend the menu changes depending on what fresh ingredients are found that week. We are looking forward to going back there again and again to see what new magical creations Chef Zod has in store for us.
