Downhill on ingredients and preparation. Souper Salad has gone downhill on its ingredients and preparation. As far as I can tell no products were prepared by the employees. Food was either overcooked, or just heat up. Had a weird taste when it came to their salads, including fresh vegtiables. Needless, I won’t be going back.
Fresh salad and variety. We love Souper Salad, always wait for a coupon but we utilize their 10% military discount. The Caesar salad is so popular, they refill it more than anything else on the bar! After Caesar salad, I go for a small serving of a healthy vegetable soup and then a yummy sweet potato. My husband likes putting bacon bits on his salad, so much that tonight I asked him if he’d like salad with his bacon bits. He’s so particular of his bacon bits, we almost never go to the other salad bar since they don’t have bacon bits at all. Tonight he found out the house vinaigrette is better than Italian, even compared it to OG’s dressing. We go to both Souper Salads often.

Souper Cheap Eats!. Souper Salad has a pretty decent salad buffet for the low price. For around $9.00, with a drink, you get to choose from an array of salad items, soups, baked potatoes, taco fixings and soft-serve dessert. It is all you care to eat. They usually feature a salad: this month, strawberry salad. In this salad, the strawberries were tasty, lettuce and dressing did not appeal to me. I go to Souper Salad only for the salad. The choices are fresh, lots of dressing choices. My salad is constructed of romaine, spinach, red onion, peas, beets, carrot and cucumber topped with spicy peanuts, jalapeno, cheddar cheese and croutons. A bit of ranch dressing on one side and honey mustard on the other. Really good salad! The soups are hot but are too salty for my taste. My dessert is a blueberry muffin with what were frozen strawberries and soft serve. Yum!
