Beautiful atmosphere, good ambiance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is quite good and tasty. Great for a classy get together to enjoy great food.
I really did not like the food at all. This is a high end restaurant and the prices are high. In all honesty the food was just bland. I was expecting outstanding food and was really disappointed. The service was good but not enough to make up for the bad food.
Great visit. I had an amazing visit to this restaurant for my grandpa’s birthday. The atmosphere is upscale, but not stuffy. The staff was inviting and attentive. Everyone at our table enjoyed the main protein components and all the sides. My tuna with wasabe mashed potatoes was especially delicious. Thanks again Savoy for a great celebratory meal.
Service is dreadful. I’ve reviewed before just based on the happy hour food selections, but I figured I’d stop by here a few more times to give this place a solid chance. I agree with all the other reviewers, that service is absolutely horrible. The staff is beyond rude and after some choice words from a bartender, I’ll never be back. Your mediocre food selections won’t save you either. Unbelievable!17 Jul, 2013I guess I was expecting more-Happy Hour. The title I am using does not imply that the food is bad. It’s just not great. Also, this is a discussion regarding their happy hour entrees. I’ve now had the goat cheese app, the calamari, the burger, and the prime rib sandwich. Let’s see.. -The calamari is served with a green salsa looking dipping sauce which is underwhelming. No lemons on the side, and just not really that outstanding. -The goat cheese is the best of the dishes, wrapped in prosciutto with black pepper cherries and some crispy bread. Fortunately, I am a HUGE fan of goat cheese, so there’s really no way I could dislike this dish. I would ask for a bit more bread though because there is a lot of goat cheese (which I’m absolutely not complaining about the portion of cheese)-The burger was decent, the bread was a bit hard and I guess you can’t really ask for much more when it comes to such a low price point. I will say it’s a good deal, especially up in the heights. -The prime rib sandwich was ok, but it could have been far better with both au jus and a horseradish dipping sauce to compliment it. Overall, Savoy is a nice location, but I think the idea is not executed as well as it could be. Good food if good food, but I think the concept of that has gotten a little hazy with all the attempts to be ‘fancy’.
Dinner in the bar-good food, not so good service. Last night I tried the crispy apple beignets that are currently on the bar and main dining menus. They serve three, one topped with tart cherries, one with creamy goat cheese, and one with a zesty red pepper romesco. It was one of the best appetizers I have had in the city. Their happy hour burger is fantastic as well. The service is always slow which I find annoying for a restaurant in this price range. They have an open kitchen and you would see food sitting there for 10+ minutes waiting to be picked up!
Always good. The marlin special last night was fantastic!!! One of the top 3 restaurants in Albuquerque.
