New Mexican Mexican Food at its best. I love Mexican food and as far as I’m concerned the New Mexican version is at the top of the list. Jerry’s in Gallup and Las Trances in Las Cruces are my two favorites. I will be back anytime I’m through the area! You should check it out!
We were headed for a corner in Winslow AZ and stopped in. Great old diner feel. Green chile sauce is great. Get it on anything. Jewelry vendors swing through to you table occasionally if your interested.
Ahhhh-Mazing Mexican Food!. This little diner is a gem! The service was fast and courteous and the food is the BEST Mexican food my husband & I have ever had! And we are from Denver so that’s saying something! The red enchilada sauce was DIVINE and the green chili sauce on my stuffed sopapilla was outstanding!!! I wish I has another stomach so I could have eaten more because my taste buds were in HEAVEN!
A Must Stop!!. Always stop when we pass thru……outstanding food with great service!!
Great food. Jerrys Cafe had delicious food, greast service and a very clean place. Recommended to anyone traveling thru Gallup. Habla Espaol tambien.
Not too old to learn…. I’ve never had homemade salsa verde before. Now, I see what I was missing. We had a genuinely fine dinner, The Big A Burger — which is a big hamburger patty between two tortillas with jalapeno salsa. Came with fries and side salad, and a Miguel’s special — a chile Relleno, and a pollo taco and enchilada with beans and rice. The chile Relleno was smothered in salsa verde. We were so stuffed, we could barely move. A doggy bag never even entered our conversation. Wonderful food, and a very nice waitress. We felt welcome and were well fed at a very reasonable cost. Yay!!
We traveled through Gallup and wanted local authentic food. We stumbled across Jerry’s and just beat the local rush. So good that people were stuffing 6 into booths designed to seat 4. The chile relleno is wonderful.
