Delicious Salad. I ordered the Oak Tree Chef Salad, which was great and my co-work order the Cobb Salad, which was also great. But the check out services was horrible. I told the lady that it was two separate orders but she rang up both together and when I stated again that it was separate orders she said but I already rang them up together. Good thing we both had cash. The gentlemen that bagged our order provided excellent customer service. I also watched the lady open the bag and take out some of the napkins that the gentlemen placed in the bag for us.
So-so food, overpriced. Friendly staff. Ordered the Oak Tree Burger and requested it medium well. Surprised that burger, fries and drink came to over $13. Burger looked great when delivered. Artisan bun, coarse ground meat, but taste failed to deliver. This was the burger equivalent of a January tomato. All looks and no substance. I could detect no seasoning on the meat, and even the bun was bland. (But the bun texture was good… I’ll give them that). Fries were good. Not great, but good. Given the price, I was expecting more. I won’t be back. Sadly, you can get a better burger at Carl Jr. for half the price.P.S. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Exceptional. This place was awesome! The drinks were great, the food was amazing, and the customer service was exceptional! We will definitely be going back! The staff was down to earth and willing to go above and beyond for their customers. The owners were great and it was obvious that they had a passion for what they were doing. We will definitely go back!
One of the best local places to eat in ABQ. The food at the Oak Tree Cafe is simply delicious. I see some complaints about price, but you get what you pay for. The prices seem just right to me. If I want a $1.00 hamburger I’ll go to McDonalds. The entire menu is diverse, entertaining and fulfilling. The owner is on the premises – not sitting in some ivory tower. He’s in the kitchen and he knows his stuff. Whether you want the best chef’s salad in New Mexico or a sandwich made with bread that melts in your mouth, this is the place to go.Lines can be long at lunch – but then again long lines are almost always an indicator that people like the joint.Try this place. Order anything on the menu. You’ll go home satisfied.
Good food, Horrible Service. Food is great but overpriced. Burgers and sandwiches don’t come with a side. The manager yelled at me and was extremely rude to me when I asked if we could split the ticket. I’ve never been so mistreated or embarrassed by a manager of a restaurant. I couldn’t believe it. Never going back.
Good lighting, clean looking and fairly friendly service. No kid menu options and the price is a little steep. The food was good, NM burger was flavorful but a bit over cooked. Good but not great overall.
