Rising Star is one of my Go To places for a quick lunch. Family run and super quick. The food is excellent! I usually pay the extra $.75 cents for the Won Ton soup. I get the Kung Pao Chicken (hot). It comes with fried rice and an egg roll. Nice presentation, delicious and filling! Perfect!

Delicious!! And cheap too! I have now found my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city, and it took quite a few tries! I can’t wait to go back.

Rising Star is an excellent, authentic Chinese restaurant. Our family has eaten there numerous times over the past six years, and always has had an excellent meal for a reasonable price. We highly recommend it.

We finally tried this restaurant and were plesantly surprised and sad that it had taken us this long to try this wonderful restaurant. I had the dinner combo of almond chicken with fried shrimp and my wife had beef with vegetables and sweet and sour chicken. I asked them to make the almond chicken spicy and was told No Problem! We both started with the hot and sour soup and were not disappointed…. very tasty! The combos came and mine was cooked to perfection, lots of chicken, fresh vegetables (not over cooked and mushy), almonds, and spice… quite tasty. My wife’s beef and vegetables was also excellent with lots of sliced beef, vegetables, and just the right amount of sauce. We will absolutely be back.

Craptacular. The worst meal I have had in Albuquerque. The food was all over cooked and greasy. There was no hint of authenticity in the flavors whatsoever. The sauces clearly were made from some kind of prepackaged mix. I ordered a poopoo player to go and they just dumped the whole thing in a brown paper bag. I guess the styraphome or paper container would have been to high end for the food they serve.
