What a treat on a hot day. And there’s lots of hot days in Las Cruces. The custard here is a treat even when it’s not a really hot day. This custard is as good as Ted Drewe’s in St. Louis, and you can’t get green chile sauce at Ted’s. Be sure to try the green chile sundae and ask for salted pecans. The green chile sauce is fantastic (mostly sweet, just a little spicy) and the pecans are toasted and fresh. I never pass this place up when I’m in Las Cruces. stevesbeenthere.com
