A gem. My favorite breakfast place in L.C. Huevos Rancheros, red w/borracho beans. Lovely staff too, always friendly and attentive.
Great food, great service, and great prices!. Took the family to La Nueva Casita and everyone was very pleased (and the kids even asked when we could go back again!). While the restaurant may look small from the outside, it is quite spacious with plenty of tables to choose from. The tables close the front window may get a little cramped if the restaurant is full. They have a number of tables that seat up to 4 people and have some large tables that can seat parties up to 8, maybe even 10. The restaurant has been in the area since 1957 and now I can see why. As soon as we sat down the friendly staff brought us a bucket of chips and a small bowl of salsa, both of which were delicious. The waiter brought us another bucket of chips at no additional charge after we finished off the first bucket of chips. You can order breakfast throughout the day, so I ordered the huevos compuestas and got one with red chile and one with green chile and both were excellent. One of my kids ordered the bean and cheese burrito (which is just over $2) and it is a pretty good size. The prices are very reasonable and the four of us left with a bill of $27 (not including tip). I would highly recommend La Nueva Casita as their mexican food is very very good, the staff is very friend, and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again!
Father’s Day 2014. As always fantastic food and outstanding service. Today’s huevos ranchero was amazing, and the new batch of green chile had a great flavor and it was zesty – nice and hot – YUM YUM! My wife got the Nacho plate and was completely satisfied. All around great visit. Hard to beat any of their Mexican cuisine offerings. Down to earth, warm and friendly and easy on the pocketbook.
Looking for a hole in the wall? Here it is….literally. There was a bullet hole in window. But, don’t let that stop you. The food was actually tasty. They may need to use less garlic in their salsa. The staff was so friendly. I ordered the combination plate and it came out to be great.
Service was very good. Waiter was very polite. He even brought out food for me to try when he found out that I’m from out of town. I loved the food and will return when I’m back in the area.
Not a favorite. My sister and I went to this place this week for the first time and were not very impressed. We did think the service was outstanding. I wish I knew the name of our waitress – she was excellent. We will not be back.
The best quality food, great service, and at the right price. A must visit when in Las Cruces NM
