Reason to wake up in the morning.. If you have no reason to go to the Saturday farmers/craft market then I recommend dragging your but out of bed for La Waffle. Slightly sweet, definitely portable, these waffles are fantastic. La Waffle has a variety of variations from the simple waffle itself to topping it with amazing cremes (that other vendors at the market have tried to unsuccessfully copy), chocolate, and more. Oh, and of course he has managed to create a green chile waffle. A green chile waffle. That’s right. Yes. It’s amazing.
These waffles will change your life. Every Saturday I am pulled to the downtown farmer’s market by the promise of these delicious waffles. They are soft pastry like confections with a perfectly caramelized outside and embedded with beet sugar crystals that make extras like syrup or whipped cream totally unnecessary. I often buy extras to freeze and toast for breakfast throughout the week. You definitely won’t be disappointed by a trip to La Waffle.
