I love the pastries, but terrible service. Today we waited 25 minutes for my coffee to come out and never did, while four others came in after me and were served drinks and food before us. We finally just left. They had three waiter(s) for 9 occupied tables, so it was not overly crowded. I heard the customer behind me complaining about his service as well, as his soup cam out along with his dessert and main meal. He sent the soup back. Then it was given to another customer.

I came here to see the pastries after reading reviews about how great they looked. A lot of the pastries looked identical to ones i have seen at international cafe which lead me to believe they are not made in house, but bought. I’ve been working in pastries for a long time so i was looking forward to finally finding a cafe similar to ones I’ve worked in where everything is scratch made, but was disappointed. I will, however, come back to try them for lunch because i did like the ambiance of the place

Second time was not any better.. We visited for the second time hoping our first experience was just a fluke. It wasn’t. It was very obvious our waitress did not want to serve our table given that she kept looking at us and shaking her head no at who I assume was a manager, the fact that she didn’t take our drink order, or give us menus, or silverware when we first arrived. When she did take our order, it was very rushed, she didn’t bother to write it down, and was just overall unprofessional. We both ordered the same item and it was like getting two different meals. My bagel was cold and yet burnt, the lox were weirdly salty, mushy and warm, the accompanying tomatoe was also mushy. My partners exact same order was, he said, just fine and, after tasting mine, he too was flabbergasted by the difference. Given that the waitress neglected to write our order down, of course our side was wrong the first and second time they brought it over. When it finally was right, the home fries were both greasy and mushy. The manager lady asked me, when I finally got through the inefficiently long line, how our food was and, well, I’m pretty sure it was written all over my face anyways (upset stomach and heartburn by this point) so I let her know the truth. It was nice that she comped the drinks we had ordered. Actually, that’s probably the nicest thing I have to say about Le Rendezvous. We’re not keen on returning only to be shot in the gut a third time.

GREAT food, Great Location. This restaurant used to be called Big Chair Cafe and was Country. Then the pastries came. Now it has a french flair with lots of french pastries to choose from; any many people come in just to take home these scrumptious creations.OH, will you find such fine pastries anywhere else in southern New Mexico? No! We find the location fine, and with Mariachis just down the street, and on to Mesilla via Motel Blvd. with other quaint restaurants, I find it fine exactly where it is located. The atmosphere could use a bit more touch, but overall it makes for a lovely breakfast/lunch destination. ENJOY!!

Lemon tarts!!!. Undoubtedly the best pastries in town.

Good sandwich. Fresh food. Interior could be freshened up a bit but that doesn’t diminish the quality of the food.
