IT’S OK…ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE TIRED OF BURGERSI usually don’t review fast food restaurants but since I had not been to one of these fast food fish joints in many years I decided to stop in and check it out. Inside the restaurant is bright and clean. The service behind the counter is ok….sort of what you would expect. The menu is somewhat limited. Most fish and shrimp are battered and fried but you can get some grilled. It took about ten minutes to get the food out. Order at the counter and pick it up when your number is called.I found the fish fillets to be ok….crispy breading but not great flavor. The shrimp were likewise ok. The cocktail sauce had no noticeable horseradish….no kick….and the tarter sauce was bland. The signature hush puppies were bland….no seasoning or flavor. The fries were mediocre. The cole slaw was ok….nothing special. All-in-all, the food was ok but nothing that makes you want to be a regular. But……at least the food wasn’t too greasy. Prices were reasonable for this quality of food.What to expect if you go: A clean fast-food style place, ok fast-food style service, limited menu, reasonable prices, and passable seafood.Overall restaurant rating…….give it TWO-AND-THREE-QUARTER STARS or maybe THREE….meaning, sort of mediocre or typical fast food stuff. Not bad but not real good either. Will I return? It could happen but maybe not. We’ll see.
