Nice restaurant. Serves some unique pizza choices. My daughter and I shared their Bianca pizza. The pizza was delicious, especially the crust! We also shared a house salad. Again, delicious. We topped off our meal with 2 scoops of gelato each! GELATO! To my knowledge this is the only place in Cruces that serves gelato and they had more than a dozen to choose from. Kind of pricey, though, if you splurge on the gelato. $8 for a double scoop. With tip, we spent $50. Will definitely go back!
Peter pipers new rival. Music was great. Luna Rossa is like Peter piper pizza: cardboard crust ketchup like sauce and stale dr pepper minus the kids running around.
Awesome wine selection. Awesome food, the luna rosa pizza is delicious, especially with a glass of Primo Dulce….
Owner isn’t nice. I loved the food and the service was alright, although our drinks didn’t get filled up – they are too busy to pay much attention to you but the food came out quickly and it was really good, the sauce on the pizza was fantastic. Gelato was great too, however the owner doesn’t smile and isn’t friendly. His attitude just left a bad taste in my mouth, don’t know if I will be back.
The food was great, service was good. The ambience is missing. Will definitely go again though.
A Cathedral !!. I’m Italian, born and raised in Italy, on pizza and ice cream.what a surprice, in the middle of the South West, discovering a true Italian pizzeria, run by a true Italian ( by fact and by name ). Luna Rossa is a corbon copy of a pizzeria anywhere in Italy. Even the flour is imported from Italy, the mozzarella is real, tomatoes are from Italy, and the end result is a pizza like in Italia. Grazie.Stuff is friendly and spontaneous, no pressure on eating in a hurry, and the ice cream is real Italian gelato made in house with an italian ice cream machine. Wine selection is outstanding, from the own winery, prices are fair ( actually cheap compared to the fast food pizza places or fake Italian pizzerias ). What else do you want ? Luna Rossa a gastronomic cathedral, an oasis in a desert ( sorry I’m Italian, a real pizza, vino and gelato do rock and make me happy )
Great service, delicious food, beautiful ambiance, all at great prices. The pizza is delicious and the calzones are even better! Plus the wine is great. Great place for a romantic dinner for two but also priced right for a dinner out any night!
