Wanted to like. I’m visiting from Denver and I love pho. I was very happy to see the variety of food in Las Cruces and was hoping the best after reading some of the reviews here. Unfortunately the pho is a terrible representation of the namesake’s most famous dish. I wanted to order a boba drink but they were out of tapioca balls. I was able to order TE rare beef pho. The pho broth was incredibly bland, and the bowl wasn’t anywhere near to being full. The rare beef was rare, but was very short of what a normal bowl of meat in pho should have been. No fresh basil is served with the pho, only bean sprouts, cilantro, lime and jalepenos came with. Overall this was a very disappointing experience. Wouldn’t recommend it.

One of our favorites. A most pleasant (and necessary) addition to the Las Cruces restaurant options.Extensive menu, and every option we have tried has been tasty. One of few places serving yellow noodle duck soup…delicious!

Best Pho In Las Cruces. OK, the title might be a little misleading. I really like Pho Saigon and it does have the best Pho in town but it’s certainly not the best Pho I’ve ever had. I’ve only found Pho at one other restaurant in town and that was a Chinese place over on Main St a couple of years ago. I don’t even know if that place is still in business but the Pho was not good there and I never went back.I don’t really know what happened when The Food Diva went as I read her review and she seems to have had a bad experience. From my experience that’s an anomaly at Pho Saigon, so I hope that she and her family will give the place a second chance because it is a good restaurant. I don’t think it’s fair to generalize and say that if someone likes Pho Saigon then they don’t know what good food is. You apparently hit the place on an off night but it’s obvious from the reviews that that is not the norm. And I don’t think it’s the restaurant that tastes good. It’s the food the restaurant serves that tastes good.Anyway, if you are like me and love Pho, then you have to make a regular trek to Pho Saigon. While it’s not the best Pho I’ve had (I personally think Pho Tre Bien in El Paso has more flavorful Pho), it is good Pho. The place is clean and the service is usually good. A few times the service has been less than stellar but I really didn’t care. I go for the Pho and I know exactly what I want when I arrive so I’m low maintenance. I always order the Pho #11 and something to drink. Pretty simple. I was thrilled when this place opened so I would have a local place to get Pho. It’s definitely a little gem.

Pho Saigon is hit or miss. On the plus side there are many more options that most Asian restaurants. They have Chinese and curry dishes as well as oriental BBQ. On the negative side their quality assurance for take out is lousy. An example: forgetting to put peanuts in a Kung Pao dish. Come on!

A nice find. Great Vietnese spring rolls. Fleetness free friendly rice noodles Singapore style. Happy camper.

Not good, at all.. My husband and our two children came in here to eat. We just moved to New Mexico and have been trying to find our new favorite pho joint. We usually go to China Town or make our pho at home but haven’t been able to find a China Town anywhere nearby. Anyway, the service… the waitress brought us waters after 10 minutes. She completely ignored our two year old, not giving him anything to drink or asking what we would like to order for him to drink. Nothing. Same thing with the eating utensils, nothing. I thought that was very rude. So then we order our pho. Tasteless. No fish sauce on the table? What’s up with that? There was little meat in the pho and I couldn’t bring myself to finish eating it. The bean sprouts and cilantro were dirty. I didn’t look before I put them into my pho and then my entire bowl became worse. We ordered boba for the whole family but it tasted like italian cream soda. The boba was way over cooked and just clumped together in the bottom of our cups. The only way that this restaurant tastes good is if you don’t know what good food is.
