SOME OF THE BEST TACOS IN TOWNIt would be unfair to Senor Chavez to rate his food truck alongside other Mexican food restaurants as far as the overall dining experience goes because there is no dining experience to be had at Chavez’ food truck. But, what can be said is that Senor Chavez serves up some of the best tacos around.The folks working the food truck are super-friendly and really nice people. You place your order and it is usually ready in six or eight minutes. The taco plate I ordered came with three tacos, rice, and beans. The refried beans were a disappointment but the rice was probably the most flavorful Spanish/Mexican rice I’ve ever had. The taco sauce that came with the tacos was superb. The SHRIMP TACOS were filled with meaty medium-sized shrimp. They were really good. The BARBACOA TACOS were of real cheek meat, thus, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The CARNE ASADA TACOS were thin strips of steak; they were good but not outstanding. The AL PASTOR TACOS had great flavor and tenderness. They were outstanding.You can also get burritos and tortas here. In February 2019 I ordered a QUESADILLA STUFFED WITH CARNE ASADA. It was super delicious with its layers of flavors and tasty, fresh ingredients. OUTSTANDING. One of a kind. Check out the photos of the food on their facebook page.Also ordered a pork al pastor torta. Really flavorful. Would have been better however if it was not wraped in foil for takeout. Since in 2019 they are building a sit down restaurant on this site….that should solve this problem.What to expect if you go: No dining to be had, good prices, friendly service, and really good tacos.MEXICAN FOOD RATING = THESE TACOS ARE CLEARLY AMONG THE BEST IN TOWN……SURELY TOP THREE OR SO. STUFFED QUESADILLA IS DELICIOUS AND ONE OF A KIND.Restaurant rating = FOUR STARS……but the food alone would rate almost Five.
