A SMALL PLACE SERVING QUICK, ORIENTAL RICE BOWLSActually, this little restaurant is not as bad as you might think. The menu is rather limited; mostly rice bowls with meat and seafood. The place is clean and somewhat comfortable for such a small restaurant, and the food is pretty good for a minimal price. Order at the counter and wait the call. They also provide a drive up window. This is a spot for a quick Asian-style lunch for little dinero. What to expect if you go: Quick service in a fast food style, Asian food of decent quality. Nothing great but not really too bad.Restaurant rating = THREE STARS…….sort of a mediocre dining experience, but for quick, Asian fast food….not that bad. Will I return to dine here? I don’t know. I suppose it’s possible.
It’s my favorite place to go! The food is good and the orange chicken sauce is very good. Not greasy as other Chinese places in town and seems pretty healthy. They only take cash (sorry card users) and the restaurant is pretty snug inside. But the food, it’s my guilty pleasure. I actually try to not order it so much so that way it’s still special to me. I order the teriyaki and orange chicken plate and always love it. Comes with steamed rice and veggies and sauces for the chicken. Have tried the green Chile chicken egg rolls which were good but seemed quite salty. But will keep coming back and try more.
DECENT BISTRO FOR QUICK ORIENTAL RICE BOWLS. Make a note……this place is no longer run by the Oriental woman who made it well known. She now runs the Teriyaki Bowl on the corner of Main and Madrid. Actually, this little place is not too bad. The menu is rather limited…mostly to rice bowls with meat and seafood. The place has been clean in my experience, the service prompt, and the food pretty good for a good price. Order at the counter and await the call. They do provide a drive-up window. This is not much of a dining place but rather a good spot for a quick Asian-style lunch for little dinero! Rate the service at the counter a B-; the ambiance a B-; and the food a B- also. Overall….give it THREE STARS. Not bad for fast food.BOTTOM LINE: WILL I RETURN TO DINE HERE? IT’S NOT BAD BUT THE ANSWER IS, PROBABLY NOT.
