GOOD FOOD, REASONABLE PRICES, FUN ATMOSPHEREI have dined at a number of Texas Roadhouse restaurants around the country and this is one of the better ones. Does this mean that it is the world’s best steakhouse? No, of course not. But, then again, you are not paying $85.00 to $100.00 for your steak. So, to all the folks out there who complain about the Roadhouse, GET A LIFE. Sure it’s a chain but they serve good food at a reasonable price. It offers good steaks for the masses. The Las Cruces Texas Roadhouse is always busy because people know where to go for good beef at a good price. I will agree with the many people out there who say the Roadhouse is VERY NOISY. If you don’t like this kind of noisy and semi-raucous environment….pass it up…..and go to the Cattle Baron or Outback. This restaurant is well managed, clean, orderly, and it has good service. The waiters and waitresses are always accommodating, efficient, and pleasant. Anyone who tells you differently is not being honest. The food at the Roadhouse is good quality and well prepared across the board. These are good steaks for the money. I love their big TEXAS T-BONE (Porterhouse) and the BONE-IN RIBEYE. The dinner rolls are freshly baked and very good. The salads are always fresh and crisp with a homemade dressing. The steak fries are among the best. The baked potatoes are baked properly and have a crisp, salty skin……not a soggy skin from baking in foil. I have always wanted to try their ribs, but I always end up ordering a steak. What to expect if you go: A loud and noisy dining experience, but one that is sort of entertaining. People having a good time. Upper level service and high quality steakhouse food.Restaurant rating = FOUR-AND-THREE-QUARTER STARS…..meaning, a casual yet outstanding dining experience in Las Cruces terms. Ignore the dishonest disgruntled types giving negative reviews.

We were so disappointed Sunday because every time we have eaten at a Texas Roadhouse we have enjoyed the steak. We usually split the Filet, but this time my husband wanted the rib eye. I wish I would have taken a picture of it because I could tell as soon as I saw it that it didn’t look good. It came out in 2 pieces that were very thin and one piece was pretty dark. It was terrible to say the least and came out barely warm and just got colder. I told the server to tell the manager that it should be served on hot plates because I had to take half my steak home because it got cold so fast. Now I wish I would have asked for the manager and complained to him/her because I doubt that the message was relayed. Also the sweet potato was also much smaller than usual and the skin was inedible whereas it is usually good. We were so disappointed and felt like we wasted our money that we have decided to never go back. We had the same experience at Ruby Tuesdays the week before and won’t be going there again either. What’s up with these restaurants? So, so disappointing!!!

Loud!!. Texas Roadhouse is always loud. I don’t enjoy yelling to be heard during my meal, especially when the food is just okay. However, I must say the rolls and honey butter are wonderful…

YUM!. I used to come here almost once a week with friends for a nice drink and some prime rib. The service is always pretty good, although sometimes it gets annoying with the servers working so hard to upsell everything. The watermelon margarita is huge and pretty cheap. I get the prime rib with a salad and a loaded baked potato every time I’m there. Sometimes we’ll order the blossom as well, which tends to be a hit or miss. Sometimes it’s over fried and essentially all made-up of batter whereas other times it’s fantastic. Either way, its an awesome place to get a reasonably priced prime rib. I always have leftovers to take home and I leave happy.

Poor management. Party of 7 on a Sunday night! When we arrived at 6:30pm the wait area was empty!!!!! Waited 30+ minutes. While waiting for the table, one table of four and two tables of three were seated. The hostess said they only had one table that could accommodate a party of that size. The TRH was half empty! Never got to eat because we left. The hostess pleaded for us not to leave.

Food was great but the service here was unusually poor for a TRH.
