Have eaten there many times, but tonight was almost inedible for all ten of us. Seems like they can’t keep help. Hope they can solve their problem. It was a good place before.
Ordered takeout and the pizza was great, really great. The employees have absolutely NO people skills. If we were treated this rudely just picking up a pizza, I would hate to see how diners are treated.
Not Terrible. We hadn’t had authentic Chicago-style pizza in quite a while, and chose to visit Uno during a weekend stay in Las Cruces. I expected the pizza to come out steaming and bubbly-hot, but that wasn’t the case. Also, the chunky tomato sauce, while tasty, overwhelmed the other toppings. I neither saw or tasted any cheese on the pie, which was disappointing. I mentioned the food temperature to the manager, and he pretty much blew us off.On a positive note, Brittany did an excellent job at our booth, and the beers were ice cold and delivered promptly.
The management is very unprofessional. I do not want to be served at a restaurant where the management can sit at the bar and drink during regular hours. The atmosphere was terrible because of this reason and the food was awful. Nachos are hard to mess up
You get what you expect. Not bad
Ordered a pizza to go… They only had little pizza boxes left, so they just threw the pieces in two boxes! Upside down pieces, what a joke. The flavor was O.K. But the crust was white, not any browning at all, looked like a cracker. Can’t recommend 🙁
NICE ITALIAN-STYLE BISTRO AND PIZZERIA.April 2016 Update:Mr. Sensitive and a date checked in at Uno’s and ordered the Numero Uno Pizza and the Baked Stuffed Chicken Spioccoli. The pizza was very enjoyable. The thick deep dish crust was light and flavorful. The sausage was particularly good. Rate this pizza an A-. Enjoyed the sauce also. I took some home and it re-heated very well. The Baked Chicken Spioccoli was quite good as well. A nice dish. The mixed veggies were well prepared. Rate it a B+. All-in-all, a nice dinner. The ambiance was nice (B+) and the service spot on. (B+). SORRY TO DISILLUSION SOME FOLKS, BUT WE HAD NO COMPLAINTS. Overall dining experience this night…..FOUR STARS….meaning good…Original review follows:…..OK. IT’S A CHAIN. GET OVER IT! Pizzeria Uno serves more than pizza. They offer paninis, pasta dishes, dishes like chicken parm and chicken Milanese, steaks, quesadillas, a nice variety of specialty salads, and burgers. They also have a bar and offer cocktails, beer, and wine. I have enjoyed Uno’s in other areas of the country for a number of years. Nothing fabulous but good, solid food. And, of course, they offer the Chicago Deep Dish pizza. This pizza is made with thick dough that has the TEXTURE AND FLAVOR OF A PIE CRUST…quite literally! It can be stuffed with all kinds of stuff and over the top is a robust tomato sauce with pieces of tomato. Now it can be argued, of course, that Uno’s Pizza is not by any stretch of the imagination the best Chicago-style deep dish, but it is the best around here. But, if you do not like pizza crust that is thick and tastes like pie crust…order something else. I like it, but I am not always in the mood for this type of pizza. I’ll rate the deep dish a B+. The food overall at Uno’s I would rate a B to B+. It is fairly good, but not as good as, say, the food at the Olive Garden or SI Italian Bistro. This is a casual bistro with good service…rate the service a B. AS OF JANUARY 2013 I HAVE DINED AT UNO’S ABOUT SIX TIMES AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH SERVICE. I KNOW SEVERAL OTHERS WHO HAVE DINED THERE ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE STAFF. Now, of course, that doesn’t mean that problems could not happen and it is certainly not meant to question the veracity of another’s claim to have had problems. It is meant, however, to help put things in perspective. AND, AS ANYONE WHO REGULARLY READS INTERNET RESTAURANT REVIEWS WILL KNOW, A BALANCED PERSPECTIVE IS USUALLY HARD TO COME ACROSS. The ambiance at Uno’s is quite nice, comfortable, and otherwise pleasant. Rate the ambiance a B to B+. They do serve alcohol and have a nice bar. There are no real negatives concerning dining at Uno’s….except maybe the prices. I think they could be a little high for the quality. Overall, out of five possible….rate Uno’s FOUR STARS…..meaning nothing outstanding but quite good or well above average. Uno’s will never compete with the better Italian places but it is a big step up from the usual pizza parlor.BOTTOM LINE: WILL I RETURN TO DINE HERE? I DO ONCE IN AWHILE.
