OK. IT’S A CHAIN. GET OVER IT.Pizzeria Uno serves more than pizza. They offer pasta dishes, chicken parm, chicken milanese, quesadillas, and a nice variety of salads, burgers, and of course wings. They also have a bar and serve beer, wine, and cocktails. Pricing is on the upper end of the reasonable range.The ambiance is fine for casual dining as it is comfortable and clean. A lot of dark, rich wood and brick abound. Over the years people have complained about the management and the service, but from my experience this is exaggerated as I have dined at Uno’s numerous times and never had an issue. (We all know that certain types can be hard to please under the best of circumstances.)When I drop in it is usually for a deep dish Chicago Pizza. If you like a crust that is thick and tastes like pie crust you’ll enjoy this deep dish pizza. If you are not in the mood for it, order one of their thin crust pizzas. I have ordered their baked chicken spiocolli and found that dish pretty good. Most of their pasta dishes I would order again, but they’re not the kind of stuff to go out of your way for. The Olive Garden and Lorenzo’s have better Italian food. But, not pizza. Uno’s deep dish and thin crust pizzas are really good.What to expect if you go: A somewhat dark but comfortable place to casually dine, service that is ok but not upper level, a well rounded menu, and food that is fairly good but not outstanding. The pizza is good.Restaurant rating = between THREE-AND-THREE-QUARTER STARS and FOUR STARS……meaning, above average to good for the total dining experience.
