Partner and I made our way to the west side to try Chinshan for lunch on Friday: No regrets! The lunch specials come with Hot and Sour or Egg Drop Soup. We both had Hot and Sour. It was delicious! The soup is spicy with heat, sour is there, nice pieces of silken tofu, mushrooms and vegetables. This probably is my new favorite hot and sour soup!Partner got Sesame Chicken. The chicken was perfectly fried. The sauce had some spice. I got Kung Po Beef. I ate it all! Each dish was fresh and hot from the wok. The vegetables were crisp. Each came with Egg Fried Rice-very good as well. The Egg Rolls were the only part of the meal that I wished had been better as they were a bit greasy. The portions are large and the price is cheap. It was so good that we decided to get take-out for dinner. The menu board had Pad Thai listed as their special. Got that and Garlic Beef. The Pad Thai was so good-and better with a squirt of lime. It didn’t need any extra Chile flake as it had a nice heat. The Garlic Beef was good; it just didn’t heat up as well. We both decided that the food is better eaten in.Chinshan isn’t visible from Coors. It’s in the back of a small strip-center. The place is comfortable but might be loud if busy…not sure. We went early on a holiday weekend: Not crowded. Service was good. And again, lunch prices are crazy-good!

Took 20 mins to take our order. Took 30mins for us to get water when we sat down. Took an hour for our table to slowly one by one get our plates. Needless to say we ended up not eating at same time. Food was good but was it worth being there for 2hours to eat!?

Excellent!. I enjoy eating at this restaurant. So far it is the best Chinese place in town…actually all of NM! I swear by it. Lunch is the best time to go. The servings are large and the egg drop soup is amazing. The lunch prices are a steal! The service is really good and unlike (almost) every Chinese place in town this place is clean clean clean. There are windows on the north and east side of the building, so there is a breath-taking view of the mountains. The lo mein is really good! It’s not spaghetti like other places, and they use all white meat chicken in their chicken dishes. If you get a chance go and eat there, it’s really good. 🙂
