  Mgatten. Hm. Wanted to try it. They said closed on Monday and open tues through Saturday. Well, it’s Tuesday and I’m hungry and, well, they’re closed. Oh well.

  Poor customer relations. My wife and I were very happy finding Tao Chinese Bistro. We liked it so much that we were eating there at least once a week. We enjoyed their food and found it to be more authentic than many of the Chinese restaurants we encountered here since moving to Rio Rancho from NY.On our last visit however, we decided to try a new dish. That dish was described on the menu as boneless Peking duck. Sounded great so we ordered it and much to our chagrin found that the duck was not boneless. We talked to our waiter and he said that he would get the owner to talk to us. The owner did come to our table and when I told him that the duck was not boneless he proceeded to tell me that the kitchen sometimes misses some of the bones. I said I could understand that, but out of maybe 6 pieces of duck that we tried 5 out of the six had bones and was also not very high grade meat. He said that next time we should not order the duck. I could not believe that he did not offer an apology or give us another choice of dishes. I said that perhaps there would not be a next time and with that he said fine, don’t come back. I have never been treated this rudely in any restaurant. Needless to say we will never go back.

  Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Not your typical buffet type Chinese. I got the salt and pepper spare ribs, and they were awesome. The wife got beef and broccoli and she loved it. We got the chicken fried rice for the kids, but the wife and I ate most of it. It was the best fried rice I’ve ever had. I don’t normally like rice, but I definitely will be back for it. The only down side was that we had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait. I highly recommend.

  Excellent food, prompt service, clean and modern decor! We ate kung pao tofo, salt and pepper prawns and egg rolls. The egg rolls came with a lemon cilantro dipping suace that was light and refreshing with the crunch of the fresh vegetables. The tofo was cooked to a crispy creamy consistency. And the prawns were another example of great taste with layers of flavor. This is a must eat in a Rio Rancho.

  Very disappointed. I travel to Rio Rancho quite often and the food at Taos has always been tasty but the last few times I have been in town they have not answered their phone. I have repeatedly called multiple times and stayed on the line till it was dead. Although the food is good, I am extremely disappointed in the customer service.

  Great dinner!!. Ordered delivery here in Rio Rancho which was prompt and courteous. Ordered Pepper Steak and Seafood Feast. Very good, we will be ordering again!

  Wouldn’t Eat Here Again. Food is very average. As a vegan there were a few choices on the menu, but the food was very bland and not very fresh tasting. The waiter (owner?) was very edgy too. I felt like he was rushing us to order, rushing us to eat and rushing us to leave. It was the vibe I felt from him. No chit chat from him, no feeling of being welcome there, no warmth at all. So that made our meal even less appealing. Won’t get my business again.
