Super food and excellent margaritas. Kinda loud atmosphere though. I always get a stuffed sopapilla and split it with my wife because it is gigantic!

I have been eating here for years. Some of the dishes prices are a little inflated. But they have great specials Monday through Friday and you can always order off the a lacarte menu on weekends. Great NEW Mexican food. Don’t go here andthink you are going to getMexican. My favorites are usually chicken or brisket enchiladas or tacos with a cup of green or red chili. I have never been a fan of the beans here but the cubedpotatoes are always good.Queso is a great appetizer especially if you are like me and think the salsa I just too spicy. It can get really crowded on weekends so I usually hit Sadies North on them.

I love Sadie’s on 4th Street! It’s the original and the best location. They’re one of the only restaurants in Albuquerque that has an outdoor patio equipped with misters, making them the perfect destination on a hot day. They have a great selection of margaritas and the best chips and salsa. I’ve talked to the manager and she told me they make 7 batches of chile every day. Not only that, one batch is a gluten free red chile and another is a gluten free green chile! Though they can accommodate gluten free guests, I do wish they would label all the items on their menu that are gluten free or explains how an item could be made gluten free. I also hope they train all of their staff on the dangers of cross-contamination, how to avoid it and ensure that a meal ordered gluten free stays gluten free. Oh – and they have a little arcade game outside the bathrooms where you can play Pac-Man! So cool!

Recommended as good by the hotel, but after reading the reviews had doubts and tried anyway.I see why folks write complaints. Not being an expert in New Mexican cusine I have to go with what tastes good to me.I frankly liked the food. The service was slow and not exactly attentive. The place was indeed very noisy. The food is not Tex-mex which is actually a good thing. And I don’t really get the whole blue corn tortilla deal. Tastes the same to me.Our server took reasonable care of us, the food was tasty, we went away full & satisfied, and we did not get sick. That’s about par on a road trip. We needed dinner not a production and this worked.

Horrible food!. My margarita was all ice and no flavor or alcohol. I returned it and asked for a different one and the waiter brought the same one back and said the waiter added more alcohol, but it was still terrible and I never even drank it. The first bite of my enchilada contained what appeared to be an aorta. My husband’s food was cold and had to be reheated. This restaurant is completely overrated and terrible. Do not waste your money!

Not Authentic Mexican. This was the worst Mexican food we have eaten in many years…and perhaps the most expensive. They do not serve rice and they have no cilantro in the entire restaurant. The food was tasteless and the prices were very expensive. I had a chalupa with guacamole and they added $4.99 to my bill for it. My bean chalupa-with no sides-was $10.00. The salsa tasted like it came out of a can. Staff friendly. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Most over rated NM style restaurant in Albuquerque.. It’s ok. I just don’t understand why all my out of town friends make a beeline for this place. Maybe they have been out of town too long and don’t know what the very best NM style restaurants and best chile is like. The food is mostly a big cheesey mess with ok chile on it. There are SEVERAL NM style restaurants which are much better than Sadies all on Fourth street. Mary and Tito’s is the very best. Casa Benavidez and Brunos are excellent and close by. Even the also over rated and pricey El Pinto is better but at least El Pinto has that fabulous patio and the pretty hacienda. Do your out of town guests a favor and take them somewhere else. Oh, but yeah they do have great salsa, you can buy it by the bottle and avoid the restaurant.
