Well the reviews here are mixed and being an outsider it would be hard to comment on their legacy and if they had been always doing good business or frowning away.My colleagues recommended this place for the chilly and thus I opted for Rancheros. It was good but I alone couldn’t finish off the serving. The red chilly sauce has pork/meat but the green one doesn’t, so if you are a vegetarian do discuss this with the server.Overall a crowded place it seemed to be and the only music to my ears were the loudness of the crowd.
You can sit in a loud dining room or a separate loud sports bar. Service was good. I tried a combo plate with red chile to get the full experience. I think this is good Mexican food, but not great New Mexican. The red chile was unremarkable, especially compared to the amazing complex flavor of the red chile at Mary & Tito’s. Maybe I would have liked the green better.
