I HIGHLY recommend the Artichoke Cafe! Five stars. Food is delicious, with excellent presentation. The service was exemplary. Denise was our waitress and she went above and beyond. Fast, friendly, delicious! We started with the Baked Garlic! Oh so good! I had the Beef Tenderloin and it was perfection! My partner had the vegetarian spinach ravioli and declared it excellent as well. We were visiting from Santa Fe, a foodie town, and we will be BACK! I have dined in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore, and many other cities and eaten in fine restaurants, and yes, Artichoke Cafe DEFINITELY compares well! A tad pricey, BUT you definitely get a top of the line meal and service with flair and attentiveness. Perfection!
I will never go to this restaurant again. We had reservations for Mother’s Day only to discover that Artichoke cafe was closed when we arrived. There was no mention on their site that they would be closed on this day. What’s more we were asked to confirm the reservation! If that wasn’t bad enough, the manager, Shane, tried to blame the mishap on the digital confirmation service, Resy, when I called to tell him what had happened. He said there was nothing he could do. He could have cared less. If this was my business, I would have been mortified and done whatever necessary to try and keep that customer happy. Based on this, I’d say the restaurant is poorly managed. Given that it bills itself as a fine dining experience in Albuquerque you would expect top-notch care and attention, especially when you’ve been a repeat customer over the years. Friends, there are other, better places to have a fine meal in Albuquerque. I’d recommend Los Pablonas instead. You’ll experience excellent food, excellent service, and top-drawer management!
Delicious! Stopped in for lunch, had a steamed artichoke, the fish and chips, and the creape of the day (chicken, corn, squash, and more). This place is great!
