I absolutely love their red chile sauce. I have lived in NM all my life and in Albuquerque since 1972. This is where I go to get my enchilada fix. Most restaurant don’t start with the whole pod in their sauce, they use powdered chiles because it is convenient but which makes it bitter. Their sauce also contains meat and is a tad hotter than a lot of others. Go here if you want the real thing.
Wonder costumer service & red chili!!! The #1 place to eat if you are coming to ABQ, don’t leave town without going here. Can’t say enough good things about the food.
I’ve heard so many great things about Mary & Tito’s, but I was extremely disappointed when I tried it first-hand. The salsa and the chile was sour, like it had gone bad last week. Thinking they were off their game, I gave them not just a second chance, but a third one as well. All three times, the food was awful. I didn’t even come close to finishing my plate and you can bet I didn’t take it home with me either. I hope this business can turn things around. Also, I wish they had a menu that clearly identifies which dishes are gluten free. I also wish they would train their staff about cross-contamination, how to avoid it and ensure that a gluten free meal stays gluten free. I wish they would address this on their menu and I wish they would carry more gluten free options.
My go-to spot for lunch when driving through. The stuffed sopapillas are just right for lunch, especially with the excellent red chile. Easy access to both interstate highways.
Dirty restaurant and bad food!. People there are far better restaurants in Albuquerque. The salsa taste like it’s from a jar, the tortillas are store-bought, and the rice is bland. Red chili was decent as were the beans. The cleanliness is lacking. So not worth it. The female owner was less than helpful.
Meh….Keep driving…Go to TACO SHEL instead on San Antonio and Louisiana. That is where the perfect Red Echiladas are hiding in Albuquerque!
Carne adovada over rated. The red chile (and the green) was good, spicy. But the carne adovada — the putative signature dish here — was dry and chewy. They happily brought us something else, but it was run of the mill tacos, enchiladas and rellenos. Nothing to write home about. Also the rice was undercooked.
