The ambiance is not the forte of abc, the food is. Their extensive menus (yes, plural) are full of great dishes. The abc chicken is my personal favorite, the sauce has a magical balance of sweet, savory, and spicy….all while retaining the crunch of the lightly fried chicken.

ABC is good authentic Chinese food in Albuquerque. I do agree that the place does need a renovation…and the visible fly paper by the window is off putting. If you can’t stomach that…order take out. The wait staff is so friendly. And the prices can’t be beat! (4.25$) I order and love the egg flower soup ( it also comes with lunch). The food at ABC is by far the best in ABQ!
Food A+, Service A, Decor D. If you like Singapore noodles, with fresh veggies and large tasty shrimp, it’s the best in ABQ. Nobody else can compare. All other vegetables are fresh each day. Lot of local Asian community eats there. Restaurant even has two menus, only one in English. Since the restaurant is a former pizza hut, I understand why other reviewers might slam the decor, but not the food. I don’t know of another Chinese restaurant in ABQ with better food.
ABC Chinese (go on weekends though). One of only 2 Chinese sea food restaurants that I know of. Best overall chinese restraunt if authentic is what you are after. If Chinese american is what you are after than you can pretty much go to any Chinese restaurant in burque, but this one is very good at Chinse American too. Yes, it is dark and old looking, but the food is the best in burque, which is saying a whole lot, but you get what you can with what you got. I love the way they batter their fried oysters and fish and their hot pots are good too. If you can get past the dark atmosphere than you will be happy. I’m 1st gen Chinese and my wife is from Guangzhou. The cooking style at Abc is Hong Kong-ish and southren China style. The service is spotty…go on the weekends because it seems the best cook works then.
You get what you pay for. Very greasy and salty food. inside is very dark and dirty looking
Just Doesn’t Cut It. The restaurant itself is …well…hideous. It appears ugly and unclean. The food is just average. In a city like Albuquerque where there are SO many good Chinese restaurants, ABC just doesn’t cut it.
