ANDELE IS THE SECOND RANKED MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN LAS CRUCES. IT PROVIDES A VERY GOOD OVERALL DINING EXPERIENCEThe main Andele restaurant (not the Dog House) is an open, clean, bright, and quite comfortable place to dine. It is a casual yet full-service restaurant fine for either lunch or dinner. The service at Andele is always professional from the hostess who seats you to the servers who cash you out when you’re done. The staff are always accommodating and friendly. This is a very well managed restaurant. The menu is a combination of New Mex and Mexican cuisine. The prices are a little higher than many places but still most reasonable.Prior to the meal they provide you with a basket of chips and you help yourself to their famous salsa bar where you’ll find four or five different salsas, pico de gallo, onions, and peppers. Most of the salsas are high on the heat and quite tasty.Their PORK TORTA is absolutely delicious. The chile con carne bathed burritos are among the best. Their TACOS AL CARBON meal is enought to feed the Chinese army. The meat has great flavor but the beef and pork can sometimes be a little dry. Andele’s carne adobada is delicious. Andele does serve alcohol. What to expect if you go: A bright, clean, well run restaurant with very good food representative of the Mesilla Valley. Good service. Reasonable prices. I have enjoyed this restaurant many, many times. Never had an issue.MEXICAN FOOD RATING = THIRD or PERHAPS FOURTH BEST IN THE AREA……TOP 5%.Restaurant rating = FOUR-AND-THREE-QUARTER STARS…..meaning, a very good to outstanding dining experience. Don’t believe anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. Will I return to dine? Yes, of course. I do regularly.
Today, September 4, 2016 at about 4:00 PM. I was traveling down the small Mesilla road on the west side of the building in which the Dog House is located. Upon passing the dive through window and continuing to pass the drive way area a black Acura Integra Coupe began pulling out. I honked and sped up because the car was approaching my driver side window and appeared to not see me in the road. I applied my brakes and looked through my mirrors where I saw the individual who was driving flipping me off. I rolled down my window which is when I yelled at him for nearly hitting my vehicle and added some harsh language. At that time the individual, a man, got out of his car and approached my driver side window. He began to call me crazy while at my driver side window. I felt my physical safety was at risk. I raised my hand with my palm facing outward and told him to get away from my car and rolled up my window while he was still verbally assaulting me. I made a u-turn in the street and proceeded to the Dog House to address a manager. I saw the black Acura turn down the street towards Avandia De Mesilla as I exited my car and began approaching the building. At that time, I requested to speak to a manager and took a seat outside on the patio furniture. I reached out to my boyfriend Delano Acosta and requested that he be there with me as I addressed the situation as I did not feel comfortable addressing this alone. Shortly after I got off the phone two managers appeared, one being a female and the other being the man I was just in the altercation with. It was evident at this time that the man had turned around and came back to the Dog House to confront me, considering I witnessed him leaving the area. While I was seated he came up to me again and started telling me that I was crazy and how he hadnt done anything wrong. His actions and defensive posturing made me feel threatened by him. I didnt respond to his verbal abuse and simply raised my hand with my palm facing outward and informed them I didnt want to address the situation until Delano had arrived. At that time the man that was being confrontational towards me left to get another manager that was at the Andales location. As they returned, Delano was parking and exiting his vehicle, and the man who had been verbally abusive towards me began speaking with Delano as they approached the building. It was apparent that this individual was attempting to manipulate the situation before I felt comfortable and I had a chance to speak about what just happened. While they entered the patio area, I took a picture of them where you can physically see the manager, behind Delanos back, continuing to make threatening and confrontational gestures towards me. I began to recount what had just happened to Delano without addressing the man that had been confrontational towards me. All the while, the man audibly continued to deny my recounts of the situation and discredit me. He protested my claim that he had flipped me off and approached my window. He attempted to discredit my claim of him approaching me while I was sitting in the patio area and turned to the female manager and asked for self-validation, where she supported his claim. Her disdain for me is evident in the photos I took of her and because of her body language and posturing I felt threatened by her as well. As Delano and I continued speaking about the incident, I had to requested for the man that caused the incident to leave multiple times, after already asking for him to leave multiple time throughout the entire confrontation. After the third request the female manager motioned for him to finally leave the situation. In the conclusion of the discussion Delano presented two situation I could pursue. One being I make a police report for harassment or two we bring the incident up with the owner Andrea. I chose to try and reach out to the owner because I felt like the managers present were attempting to discredit me and be intimidating. It was evident that all the managers were united to protect one another and no further action would be able to be taken because of this conflict of interest amongst themselves. When I was finally given the opportunity to meet with the owner she didn’t want to hear anything I had to say and asked me to never go to the establishment again. I also brought with me the above account so I wouldn’t even need to tell her my side and she would only need to read it. She refused to even give it a look. I never expected her to do anything about the situation I just wanted to give her my side of the account but she wasn’t interested in anything I had to say. I don’t want to say don’t go to this establishment but if you have an issue please don’t expect for anything to be done about the situation.
