This appears to be a theme Mexican restaurant, but is anything but. Wonderful selection of special Margarita drinks, great food and fun atmosphere. The Posole is some of the best I have had and Wendy had the shrimp fajitas salad. Mixed her ranch dressing with the salsa which made it incredibly unique. We Always stop here when in Mesilla LaPosta and Andele are musts when in the area. Chillin with Hot Sauce chilltravelers.com
The server was awesome and the place is nice to dine in. Very fitting building/decor for New Mexico/Mexican food and excellent atmosphere. It is a little high in price in comparison with other restaurants serving the same. They serve good portions that leave you full. The taste is good what you would expect for this type of cuisine. The service and location is what I love and why I will return.
Loved this place! The shrimp ceviche was my personal favorite. Just the right blend of citric acid and spices. The quesadillas and the taquitas were also very tasty. Salsa tasted great and home made and the queso was awesome! I’ll be back next time I’m through Las Cruces!
Decided to try after hearing what a great place this was from coworkers who had traveled here before. Ordered #1 combo plate, food was adequate and authentic but presentation was less than appetizing, with all components slopped together in a large mass. Loved the history and ambience of the place. Waitress was friendly and attentive, kept our drinks filled.
Always great Mexican meals with a traditional approach and a few nice amenities while you wait, including an aquarium (with piranhas, a macaw, historical facts and some shopping options). The servers are always very attentive and do not rush you through the meal. Stay for dessert. The cheesecake is a must. Don’t forget to sign your name in the large book to document where you’re. If you arrive before the lunch hour, parking will be easily accessible. I recommend after dinner, you take a stroll to the nearby center square (where they often have live entertainment, food trucks, additional shops and a large Catholic Church.
Consistently good. We have stopped here many times over the years and it is at least good and often very good. Today I had the Combination Plate #1 as part of the House Specials combo, so my wife and I shared the guacamole salad (very good) and the sopiapilla and an apricot empanada for dessert. My wife had the La Posta Combination Plate. Most of the food was very good, a couple things like the tamale, were only good. Our server, Misty, was excellent We will be back.
Awesome experience. Making our way from Scottsdale, AZ back home to South Texas (coastal bend) , we decided to stop and visit this historic community and get a quick bite to eat before we continued our journey back home. We decided to get some appetizers and Mariela our waitress recommended, the pozole, which I never had before it was awesome the chicken quesadilla were great and we had to get some sopapilla’s for the road. Believe I would drive 500 miles to come and eat La Posta again. JQ GarciaMathis, Texas
