I was worried when the ownership of Crazy Fish changed hands. I missed the Japanese language tapes in the bathroom and Astro Boy on the TV screen. (I still hate it that the TV is always showing cooking shows. I find it deeply distracting.)However, except for the cooking shows, I have completely come around. The sushi is even better than it used to be, with big fresh nigiri and creative, delicious (if sometimes unevenly sliced) rolls. The new owners have changed the interior a bit, and the wood paneling looks clean and inviting. The bento boxes are gorgeous – or so it seems from the next table. I haven’t tried one because I can never talk myself out of sushi.I’ve eaten at Crazy Fish four times in the last four weeks and am still craving more! unfussyepicure.com
I’ve been to many sushi resturants but this one rocks. The sushi was not only amazing but the service was great. I couldn’t eat all my seaweed salad because the portions were huge and the owner personally came to ask if everything was ok. The spider roll I had was amazing and the steak himachi was perfectly cooked. The steak was amazing if these guys decided to be a steak resturant they would kill but they are doing awesome as a sushi place!
A waste of money and poor quality. I have eaten at many a sushi restaurant here in town but this is probably the worst i have ever had. The crab was dry and tasteless, the fish did not have a good flavor and all around I’m not impressed. I can get better sushi from the grocery store that costs a lot less. will never come here again.
Best in Albuquerue. I have had sushi all over the US and while there are better places in CA and Hawaii this place for Albuquerque is really the best. And I have eaten at, at least, ten others in ABQ and well this is simply the best.
Excellent food for the price, great service! Had the garlic tuna sashimi was fresh and very delicious. My family and I enjoy Crazy Fish every time.
Really Enjoyed it!. I visited Crazy Fish along with 2 other friends. We decided to get a variety of rolls and they were all delicious! The chef was also very helpful, as he noticed we ordered similar rolls and suggested others in its place. Service was prompt and very nice. All the rolls were delicious. The spicy California roll was a great twist to an already favorite classic.
Good at the beginning, but disappointed at the end.. I’ve been to crazy fish multiple times, trying all of their dishes and overall the quality is good. The sashimi is always fresh. However, the last time I visited them they really disappointed me. I usually get there beef teriyaki bento box, which has always been good, but last time I ordered it, the beef was so raw that I couldn’t even eat it. It literally was like pan seared beef, but not even raw like bloody raw, which I can handle, it was raw like cold raw. Imagine seared ahi tuna, but with beef. I know you can eat raw beef, but not this kind of beef that they were serving. For its price, it was fairly reasonable as always, but I had a tummy ache after that. I ate 2 pieces and finished everything else, but the beef. I tried to get their attention to ask them to recook it, but my server was so busy at the time that I honestly did not want to wait an hour for them to recook it. They wanted to recook it at the end, but I already waited an hour to get their attention. It was a waste a time and a big disappointment. Better luck next time I hope!
