Love this place! Our family has a huge variety of needs – we have vegans, celiac sufferers and vegan celiacs! It’s always a dining conundrum. But everyone has been satisfied at Fan Tang. The coffee chicken is my favorite – I just wish it could be made gluten free for my husband to enjoy too! He loves the orange peel chicken and the ma po tofu is a huge hit among our vegan family! The only item that hasn’t been a huge hit has been the sweet and sour chicken. I know it’s their own twist on it but it twisted a little too far. The dish itself actually was good – just not sweet and sour.
Better then expected, will return. I found the prices to be far better then I thought from the look of the location and design of the building I would have expected it to be a bit more pricy and was pleasantly surprised at their low prices. After my initial thought it was odd how they have it set up. You order at the counter and then sit down, but that seems to be how many of the Asian restaurants are in town. The service was good, although I did go at a slow time of day. I went there with my family so we sampled there poultry, beef, and seafood which were all good. I will say that they have no idea what spicy is. I tried their spicy chicken which from the menu, having toughs adorable little chillies that most places do, I would have concluded was the spiciest of there options and found it to be rather tame.
