Great Price, Decent Food, Terrible Service. I go to Gecko’s quite frequently, it’s a nice spot to hang out with great drink specials and delicious green chile cheese fries. Besides the fries, the other items are pretty standard, nothing special. The service, however, is notorious for being horrible. It always has been. That said, I still go there quite regularly for the atmosphere, the drinks, and the fries.

Meh.. I’ve heard lots of good things about this place, but both times I’ve come here I was disappointed. First time I had wings, which were fine but nothing special. The second time I came, the server highly recommended the Red Mole Grilled Sirloin Tacos. The tacos came out almost completely cold, the corn tortillas were oily and stale at the same time, and the sirloin meat was covered in a strange dark sauce – which was extremely salty and did not resemble anything even close to mole. The service is decently quick and friendly, though, and the patio is a great spot to hang out. I just have not been impressed by the food (and I’m not picky by any means).

Very good hangout. I was treated very well here today. Had a draught beer while waiting for my buddy. Then had fried lamb sausage with roasted new potatoes in jalapeno garlic oil with olives. Very good flavor. Served with flatbread to soak up the tasty oil. Had the cheeseburger and fries after that and was very pleased. Didn’t add the green chile which I normally would have done but passed since one of the earlier reviewers said the flavor was weak. The burger was excellent and the curly fries were hot fresh and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere is interesting and relaxing. If you are going and haven’t been before it is right between scalo’s and la montanita and there isn’t much of a sign so you have to be a little determined to get there. Enjoy ! !
