Il Vicino has been a favorite lunch spot for years. The pizza is always good, with a thin crust and excellent toppings. A spinach or Caesar salad, which they will happily split for you, and a pizza is a perfectly sized lunch for two. Best of all is their delicious homemade root beer, which is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. This is root beer for grownups, tasting strongly of anise. The bright dining room is cheerful and the waitstaff friendly. unfussyepicure.com

Best pizza in Albuquerque. Wood-brick is the way to make pizza and enjoying the food at the Nob Hill location its great to sit on Central and people watch. The spicy oil they put on the table is worth pocketing, getting caught, and going to jail for. Pick any brew on tap made right down the road and enjoy the Fino pizza with goat cheese and mozz turkey sausage.

Not for the Gluten Free. They claim to have Gluten Free Pizza but I haven’t gotten that sick in a loooong time. I have been gluten free for 14 years, and ordered a pizza on gluten free crust. The crust tasted like cardboard so I don’t doubt it was gluten free. the topping were bland and not tasty. Furthermore, my salad came a huge chunk of bread! I was with a large party so I just avoided eating the half of my salad that touched the bread. Somehow though I ingrsted gluten because I had all the classic symptoms. Another disappointment was I ordered an iced tea and got some watered down raspberry flavored tea! Very gross when you are expecting regular tea. They need to inform customers what kind of tea they are serving.Meanwhile my husband who is not a celiac ordered a Calzone and said it was the worst he had ever eaten.

Noise rating. Noise levels are quite high. Tables are close together. We always get carry out.

Something different. I have had their take out pizza 2 times. Both times I have enjoyed the artichoke pizza. I’m from the Midwest so of course I would love more cheese on the pizza but the flavors are nicely balanced as is.

Terrible Customer Service. Average food. This used to be a good place to get a pizza. Now, the pizza is about 3/4 the size they used to be and it’s barely average. Customer service is terrible and slow. Management is rude and they don’t really care if the order is messed up. Find a better restaurant and stay away
