Just had breakfast at Mannies and the only thing I wonder is why I don’t go more often. It’s clean, the food is great (I had Pedro’s green chile corned beef hash with a blue corn muffin), and it’s simple (coffee comes out almost as soon was you sit down) and reasonably priced.Perhaps the reason is that Mannies is hard to notice. I missed it for years as it’s sort of hidden behind over-grown landscaping and a frightening-looking security fence. Poor walkability (but great parking), run-down roads, and a problematic intersection there also make it less than fun to get to. Thankfully, the ART improvements will improve walkability, bringing it nearer to me and putting it on my radar. Who knows what else might happen.
