This establishment has gone downhill. I ate the buffet a while back and it was good, but this time the buffet was tasteless, dry and cold. The rice pudding had hardly any rice in it and it was extremely sweet. No an enjoyable experience at all!
The food was wonderful.. How lucky we were to find Maurya. Our hostess took the time to make us feel not just welcome, but as though we were her personal guests. We asked for some suggestions and she walked us through many choices. In the end, we chose many of the items she suggested.
Authentic Food. The buffet food is pretty standard for Indian buffets, but very well done, and the staff is extremely attentive. Seems like a family-run place by a family who really cares about what they are doing.
Beautiful, quiet atmosphere.. Our first visit was incredible. Really good Indian food served by warm and friendly staff — who were patient with our late-evening arrival, just as they were getting ready to close. I’ve been back many times for the buffet and the full menu. Highly recommended
We really loved the interior decor and ambiance of this restaurant.. One of my all-time favorite dishes is their Reshami Kebab, which has boneless breast of chicken marinated in yogurt and spiced nuts. It’s a dish I got hooked on while living in Grand Rapids. Maurya’s is a little different, yet it’s still quite good.
