The best thai food in Albuquerque! I love the pineapple chicken - it's served in an actual pineapple! All of the food is amazing. Try the coconut ice …

Great little Thai place. I have always really enjoyed this place. Sometimes the wait for the food can be somewhat long, so don’t go if you are in a hurry, but the service is good and the atmosphere is fun.

Lazy chef, is all I can say. Would spice the dishes the way we wanted, shrimp still had the tails and skin.
Food is okay… Service is never that great. Typically I’m waiting more than I’m enjoying food.
Thai. Delicious. That’s all I have to say!
I see what the fuss is all about!. I’ve been little leery of trying out orchid thai because from the looks of it, it seems a little too cliche for my taste. Lot’s of restaurants fall into the typical antics where they try so hard to be flashy and different that they forget that at the end of the day, people are there to eat good food. Alas, I got over my fears the other night and ventured into Orchid Thai. I started off with the sampler appetizer. There was a great assortment of tasty items and dipping sauces to experiment with. The shrimp is served on a small appetizer grill that is still lit when it is brought to your table. So it looks awesome, but it also tastes great!I ordered the massaman curry with chicken-medium, which came garnished with a fresh flower on top. I will say, the curry was not spicy at all. Unfortunately, I was unaware that you can get more chiles on the side until the end of my meal. But that is my only complaint. I took the leftovers home with the side of extra chiles, and it was phenomenal. They also gave my a fresh side of rice to take home with my curry as well. The most amazing part of my meal was the attentive service. My drink was never empty, I never really had to ask for anything, the servers were kind and gracious without being too overbearing. I think it was some of the best service I’ve ever had in Albuquerque to be honest. If it is consistently that good, I wouldn’t mind coming back extremely regularly. This place has absolutely found its way into my favorites. I am a HUGE FAN!
Waste of Time. I went to Orchid Thai recently with a group of friends. At first glance the atmosphere is a bit eccentric, yet inviting, turns out that’s the only inviting thing about Orchid Thai. The service was extremely slow for a Friday night in which they weren’t terribly busy. They brought out our meals one at a time with an average interval of about 12 minutes, which meant those served first were finished by the time the last few received their meals. Possibly the worst part is, that upon being served the food was bland and lukewarm. Considering the choice of Thai restaurants in the area Orchid is at the bottom of the game.
