We went here for happy hour and sat at the bar. The food was super delicious. We had the vegetarian wild mushroom tacos and guacamole to start and both were fresh and delicious. Then we moved on to the pablano chile relleno and that was something else! It is not fried like a typical relleno – the pepper was plump and bright green and crisp, stuffed with sauteed, buttery potatoes (who would’ve thought potatoes in a relleno, but they were great!) and fresh queso fresco. The red chile sauce was amazing and the most beautiful color. Then the churros came and they were super awesome, as well. Give this place a try!!
I’ve been here twice. The tacos are a toss up in spiciness so beware. The house margaritas are as sour as they come. I couldn’t drink mine because it was like drinking straight limes. Guacamole and calabacitas are amazing though.
The food is over priced and not really tasty, went from no flavor to super hot where our mouths were on fire. All our food was mixed up and was not delivered to the right person at the table. The corn tortillas ripped apart as we picked them up to eat the taco and all the stuffing fell out onto the plate. & I had to use a fork to eat tacos! We had a party of 9 come into the restaurant, they were a little distraught as to where to place us even though the restaurant was more than half empty. They placed us right next to the bar which in my opinion was not a good choice as many people need to walk by there to both the bar, and the restrooms. The server was nice until we had to add an additional 4 people to our party, she then wanted us to pack up our table and move somewhere else in the restaurant. We declined and asked them to add a table to the end where there was indeed room. We will not go back to this restaurant nor will we recommend them to anyone.
I love their house margaritas, but they food is waaayyyyyy over priced. Also, very small portions. That being said, it is very yummy. I really like the environment, and it’s in a nice location, although parking is annoying.
Dinner at Zacatecas. As usual the food was excellent and the service was good. And when anything wasn’t just right the staff went out of their way to make our experience as pleasurable as possible. A great place to dine.
Great food and drinks. Zacatecas consistently serves amazing dishes and I’m always pleased with the service. I will continue coming back here for the great atmosphere and quality food.
Lost Potential. The margaritas are very good, the food is too, as it should be for the prices. My wife and I have been twice now and our problem is with the wait staff. They are so in a hurry to get your order and rush you thru what could and should be a nice, chilled experience. The first time our tacos came out at the same time as the appetizers. I hate that. The second time our waiter was all up in our grill to order so we decided to just have one drink, split an appetizer and go some where else. I doubt we will go back.Hey waiters…chill!
