I like this place it’s cute! The food is dinner food so burgers, dogs, milk shakes. It’s really good food. The only thing is the parking situation is bad. It’s always full.
Classic Route 66 dinner. Lost in time in every detail. Elvis on the radio and watress in hoop skirt thing. All done very well. Shakes are real good. Made by hand and thick and creamy. The burger I had was the three cheese special. Fresh veg and bun. Fries were crisp and hand cut. My impression is this is a fun step back to a Route 66 burger and shake hangout with great shakes and better than average burgers. Worth a stop in my book.
Should of got a full dinner. Lived in ABQ for over 30 years and never have been in the door. Had the green chile cheeseburger and was not impressed. The deserts look awesome but didn’t feel like it after the burger. I will go back and try the main stream type dinners of chicken fried steak, fish and chips or chicken fried chicken and then the banana split that feeds 4. Cool old building though. Everyone in side was a tourist taking pictures of everything. That part was kind of weird.
Me and my family came here for dinner and it was a horrible experience. The food was horrible. We spent 55 dollars on food that was greasy, burnt and poor quality. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor ever go their again.
Try the Pile Up. I’m a cheeseburger guy, but the 66 Diner disappoints me there. Last week I tried the Pile Up and was greatly pleased! My wife had a patty melt and said it was the best she’d ever had. The milk shakes are a specialty and are fantastic.
I ordered what amounted to a cheeseburger, and I’ve had better cheeseburgers at fast food restaurants. My wife had the meatloaf and we could not find a bathroom fast enough once we left. The waitress was excellent I have no problem with the service but I do not recommend the food.
Yummmm. The best Shakes, onion rings & burgers !!!! loved it so much I made my husband walk from the Presbyterian hospital after the birth of our child to get me some real food!!!!
