I was double charged for my meal (on credit card). After calling and explaining the issue three times, it was never resolved. I was told it could not possibly be their fault, and that it must be the bank or card company’s end. However, one of the charges included the tip I left, while the other did not – thus, the restaurant must have charged me twice (since the credit card company would not know the amount I tipped – only the total amount charged). They could’ve just checked their revenue for the month and seen both charges, but they did not.Double the price of my meal went to El Portal, and I was never refunded any of it. I never heard back after showing them the two charges on my bank statement. Waste of time calling the restaurant, and waste of money.
