Stopped by for Happy hour and enjoyed the samples offered. The menu is small, but the food was great. Tried the sliders, pulled pork and fries. All great taste and plenty of food. The Bavarian Belle was a nice choice. Will definitely come again.

This place needs to reconsider.. Albuquerque is quickly becoming an It-Place for beer. Ponderosa is…disappointing to be nice about it. My husband and I have given them two shots in the week and a half they’ve been open, and all I can say is that if I’m forced back for a work happy hour, I’ll be looking at their wine list instead. The beer is bland – the beers I brew up in my back yard have more depth. I have yet to try the stout, but everything else is terrible. The food, on the other hand – so good for the most part! The Mac and cheese is something I’ve mentioned to nearly everyone I’ve met since I had it. The nachos are great and filling. The burger leaves something to be desired, but I wouldn’t turn it down. That said, if I wanted to go out for dinner, this is the place. But beer-wise? No. Just no. Don’t even try. Go to any of the other amazing, local breweries. Albuquerque has PLENTY to choose from.

New Restaurant. A group of me and 4 ladies stopped in to have some appetizers and some cold beers around 9pm. I decided to choose a wine and the other ladies had beers. I love the fact we can taste the beer before we buy. We also ordered Chicken tenders, Burracho Nachos and a basket of fries. The fries came out first, they were cold. The nachos came out second and they were….disappointing. We had returned the fries to get a fresh batch. We were informed about 15 minutes after waiting for our fresh fries that they were out. Tenders were really good. Server was good! I believe it was miscommunication with the back. I’m giving Ponderosa brewing company the benefit of the doubt. Giving the fact it has only been open 4 days. I will return and give it another shot.

REALLY enjoyed the new Ponderosa Brewing Co. New place – what fun! The atmosphere was nice and open – I did not take my family, but I can see how this would appeal to people with children – adults could take kids to the museum down the street – then stop at Ponderosa for their FANTASTIC food (and a beer for the grown ups!)Food was great – we had appetizers, the pulled pork sandwich and the reuben – they call it the Doc Holliday. EXCELLENT sandwiches! The pulled pork was as good as Oklahoma Joe’s pulled pork, in Kansas City. Now that’s somethin’! And best rueben I’ve ever had – perfectly balanced flavors – not too much sauce, but enough to be yummy. The breads on both sandwiches were also very good. And the beer… another hit. I had the red and the stout in tasters.Beautiful flavors – smooth and kicky at the same time. I am so excited that Ponderosa offers 4 oz tasters! i also tried their pale ale offering – it had a lovely citrusy flavor – all good!

Great food and beer! And great prices!. This restaurant is a great new addition to the Sawmill area in Albuquerque. The service is fast and the food is delicious. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and my friend had the Doc Holliday sandwich – both were fantastic. The house-made BBQ sauce was full of flavor. We also shared the hummus plate – the house-made hummus was the perfect consistency and flavor. The beer was very cold and tasted great. The restaurant has happy hour from 3pm-6pm with great prices. There is a kids menu and kids play area as well as an outdoor seating area. Be sure to check them out!

Now Open. Good food, Great Beer! No outside sign can be difficult to find. If signs not allowed outside, you need to put one on the inside of the front window (like the other businesses in the center). Very nice inside. Good lunch menu, the burger was juicy, green chile hot and the bun was just right. Wife has steak salad with jalapenos and delicious thin cut fried onion rings. I had 2 Reds that were so good I took home a growler. Wife tried the Pale Ale and one other beer, no complaints. I will be back with friends. Great new brewery for Albuquerque.
