First of all, the person below who is upset because they wouldn’t make an Applebee’s lava cake should have just gone to Applebee’s as Seasons is clearly above her palate. That is the most ridiculous review I have ever read. This is one of our favorite special occasion restaurants. The antipasto board is beyond incredible. We are a family of diverse tastes and it always suits everyone. My favorite is wood-grilled bistro steak medallions. The crispy onions on top are really something special but the meat itself will melt in your mouth. Plus it is cooked perfectly every time and the sauce is incredible. (Note: many of their sauces have mushrooms so if you are allergic like my husband be sure to ask for it without sauce!) My husband is addicted to the prime rib. And I mean ADDICTED! He will talk about it months after we go and beg to go back. If the price tag is a little much for you, head upstairs to the rooftop bar and grab a burger or sandwich. Everything upstairs is just as tasty with a much smaller price tag! However, if you are feeling spendy, add the scallops to your entree downstairs and go for the dessert. Trust me – it’s worth it!
1.0 star rating 1/17/2017Seasons has a glowing and poetic description of themselves which is lip service only. I sent them an email asking for a lava cake for dessert for my husband’s birthday, but they waited until I arrived to decline my request. Ok. Hum. This is supposed to be a high-end restaurant, but they can’t make a lava cake, which is something Appleby’s does daily. Our server, Fabian, did not bring bread until 45 minutes after I requested it, my food was reheated in the microwave; I know this because one part of my food was still cold while there were bites that scalded my tongue. Where was Fabian? He was a few tables down giving another diner explicit instructions on how to make nut brittle, complete with a 15-minute step by step in painful detail. This other diner got great service; he must have been a celebrity because every single employee of Seasons greeted him or in some way treated him as a celebrity. Even the manager came by for a talk, but failed to ask if we were okay. He knew this was a birthday dinner. I was sorely disappointed in my dinner, and Fabian never came around to ask if it was okay. His tip reflected my displeasure. There were only three tables of guests while we were there, so I have no sympathy for the service I did not get or the complete denial of the lava cake dessert, which I should have made at home since Seasons did not give a damn about us. Don’t waste your hard-earned money here.
Seasons SatisfiesSeasons is right on the edge of touristy Old Town. It is a new building and is convenient to the museums in the area as well as the historic core of Old Town. I was surprised how much of Old Town shuts down in the evening. We got a rooftop table at Seasons which was very nice. But I dont know why they close off most of the best view, towards Sandia Peak by a pretty high wall.Service was very pleasant but a bit slow. Drinks were reasonably priced and good. We were given a menu for upstairs but we had seen another menu posted outside. That is the downstairs menu and we could order from that as well. Many items were repeated on the two menus but there were some nice options on the downstairs menu. Why two menus? Rather confusing.Food was all good to excellent. Everything seemed to be very freshly prepared. Again, prices were reasonableespecially for this quality. We found our visit to Seasons to be very satisfying.
Disappointed. Seasons is typically our go-to place for special occasions and we went there last night to celebrate a milestone birthday. Three people at our table had the Kobe fillet and mine was just awful. It was tough, overcooked, and tasteless. Our waiter was not very attentive and never stopped by to ask whether our meal was prepared correctly. In fact, I had to flag him down to tell him, and he took away my plate with the remainder of my meal. Not what one should expect for a $42 meal. He did give us a $6 dessert but I would have expected better service recovery, including a visit from the chef or management. Next time we will try Marcello’s.
Great restaurant in old town Albuqueruqe. Had a very quite dinner with my wife with wonderful service and amazing food
Exquisite culinary delights!. The food here is simply the best. There is no other way to put it. No matter what you order, it is amazing. Their mashed potatoes are a thing of beauty and have so much flavor. HOWEVER… do yourself a favor and skip the dining room unless it is a special occasion. It’s pricey but delicious. But upstairs in the bar, they serve much more affordable fare like sandwiches and burgers with cold beer on draft to wash it down. The burgers are some of the best in Albuquerque and for prices that are better than Chili’s or Applebee’s. The environment is high-end sports bar and the staff is attentive and friendly. Plus, if you want the fancy food, you can order it upstairs as well. That includes the decadent desserts!
I use to love this place. The food the last two times there really disappointed. The service upstairs is uppity and the staff seem to put you in the back burner. My fish tacos were slimy and poorly trimmed. The manager gave us a card for two free drinks but we’d have to go back. What a joke! Two bad expirences was enough for me at what use to be a wonderful place to go.
