GREAT DINNER!. We ate for the first time at the Clovis, NM location and it was FANTASTIC! The waitress we had was great and she was very helpful with the menu. We started with the chips and salsa…SO GOOD! They make their chips there and their Medium Salsa was so good I bought a jar on my way out! I had the Taco Dinner as my main dish and it was delicious! I had 1 soft taco with chicken & 1 hard-shell taco with beef…YUM! Then, they serve you warm cinnamon & sugar Sopapillas with honey, which is included with your meal! Never had them before, and now, will never leave without having at least one! And the best part, our meal for 2 was under $30 (including tip!) It was very good and I would have to say I prefer El Rancho over an of the other Mexican-style food places in Clovis!
Breakfast Buffet of the Gods. The Portales location has the best breakfast buffet in 100 miles (perhaps the only breakfast buffet in 100 miles).The omelet line is enough to sell me on it, but they also have all the breakfast meats you’d expect, two types of potatoes, red and green chile salsa and pancakes, waffles and french toast.The daytime menu is great as well, some of the better salsa in the area, and great portion sizes.
