Group Breakfast. We had a monthly group breakfast at the Cafe and we loved it! This place is very eclectic and warm. Love that you pick your own coffee cup and get your own refills. Food was good and served promptly.
Nothing but Accolades. Just a great little place, a little eclectic, a bit quirky, very friendly. There is an obvious passion for doing things right, and it shows. The breakfast burrito was excellent, and the red and green chile made it even better.
Best in Southeast Sandoval County. If you are driving from ABQ to Santa Fe or vice-versa, This restaurant is well worth a visit (it is four minutes from I-25). Not only for the good food and reasonable prices, but for the uniqueness of the experience. The proprietor is one of a kind and seems to make an effort to visit every table and make everyone feel welcome. The proprietor seems to like to wait tables and joke around with the customers. It is one of a kind and a truly unique New Mexican experience. The green chile enchiladas are the best and the ribs (after 5 PM) are the best in the Southwest. I have been there about thirty times.
Great food, Fantastic service. We’ve enjoyed breakfast here several times. The food is always great and the service is very friendly. Try the monkey cakes – excellent! Their coffee is really good and I love the self serve and pick your own coffee cup!
Extensive menu choices, great and friendly service. We were also offered a free dessert which was also good. We’ll be back to try other menu items.
Green Chillie Cheeseburger. Jon’s place rocks, this is a great restaurant and every time we travel to Rio Rancho, we make a trip for their cheeseburger and white chillie. Everyone in the restaurant is awesome and funny.
SW Comfort. Clam chowder (New England) was excellent. The broth wasn’t overly rich with cream and butter and they weren’t skimpy with the clams. You could have the soup alone for your meal it’s so big. The burrito (vegetarian) was very substantial and well prepared. Ingredients were fresh and the green chile dressed over the burrito was good. The menu selection was plentiful and the value was good as the pricing was not outrageous. The ambience is nice with tables outside and a view of the mountains. The manager/owner said they come from Mass. for the chowder. Good thing the drive is short from ABQ/Santa Fe. And good thing the burritos (and omelets) are good. If you don’t want to splurge at Blade’s Bistro, then this is a very good option. They are in the same plaza. The one critique, they can be a little slow when they are busy which they were when I was there.
