Yummy homemade baked goods and biscuit. Service was quick and food was good. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito and liked it. My son ordered the kids hamburger and it was big and baked on a homemade bun! The new bakery next door is fantastic. My daughter wanted a big loaf of country farm bread and I bought it and it is the best bread I have had in the state. Homemade doughnuts and other goodies too!

Excellent Burgers. …great ambiance, great food, great price. I’m coming here all the time now. :-). Judy, my server, was very nice and attentive… busy, but none the less, great! Give that darling a gold star.

Grateful for this East Mountain Restaurant. We just moved to the East Mountains and have dined here 3 times already. Their green and red chile are wonderful! Their breakfast hash browns are some of the best I’ve ever had–crispy and tasty. They are also very accommodating to any dietary needs…no dairy, gluten free, vegetarian etc… their plain black coffee is very good but they do offer lattes and cappuccinos as well. The atmosphere is friendly…bustling but never very long of a wait. They offer fresh baked pastries and cakes made just across the street as well as stacks, hamburgers and even a salmon salad! There is truly something for everyone here. I highly recommend it!

Horrible Customer Service!. Mark and Carol who ran this restaurant for years left this established eatery a few years ago and with them went the excellent customer service and pride in preparing good food for largely local customers . This is a hit or miss with more misses lately than ever. A recent visit found us having to make several request to get our simple sandwich order correct. The good ol’ days forever gone leave us seeking alternatives to this less than mediocre restaurant. Dare to get a to-go order and there is a less than 50% chance that the order will be correct and when one requests a refund for a dish that they did not order (we ordered a chicken dish an instead got some sort of beef mystery meat), it is refused and instead a gift certificate is offered. Just unimaginably poorly run with no accountability for their poor service and incorrectly prepared food.

I have eaten here a few times and first I must say the papas are among the best I have had, but thats about it. The service is mediocre and food inconsistant. Last time I was in I ordered the indian taco, when it came it was covered in eggs which was not on the menu. over all I would not recomend eating here unless you are ordering papas

So far, so good.. Good food, decent price. If the Indian Taco is too bland, pour a cup of the Texas chile over it. Very tasty! Excellent Green Chili Sausage! Have not had any problems. Good service, and value for your money.

Visited for the Thunder Burger, looking forward to trying other menu items. A friend took me to Katrinah’s for the Thunder Burger, and now I am taking other folks there. This entree item is a hunk of hamburger stuffed with cheese and green chile, then battered, fried, and served on a bun with toppings. Which, on the face of it, seemed to me disconcerting. But is in fact delicious and must be experienced. I find myself occasionally daydreaming about one…Since a deep-fried cheeseburger is inherently calorie-laden I could not eat one very often (be sure you don’t have to drive too long after eating one, as you may find yourself looking for a cozy place to sleep the meal off) unless I had a long day of physical labor ahead of me. I am looking forward to visiting often enough to get to the other menu items. The chicken-fried steak sounds good. Each time I have been there the wait staff was friendly and the place was packed with a variety of locals — families, ranchers, National Guardsmen, soccer teams, etc. The Thunder Burger overshadows the sides, but I remember them as being good, especially the fries and the mashed potatoes.I live about 45 minutes from Katrinah’s, but anytime I am passing through the area I will make a point to stop. And I sometimes catch myself figuring out how I might dash over there for lunch…
