Everything tastes better in Santa Fe. The hot smoked salmon is delectable. Some of the best short ribs I’ve had. Food: A+; Atmosphere: A+; Service: A+.
Beautiful spa like contemporary setting just North of Santa Fe with views of the Jemez Mountains. Started with a simple garden salad dressed with too much vinegar. Had the scallops and pork belly. Nicely presented and fairly tasty but not memorable. My dining partners had the Halibut which they liked very much. Good selection of sparkling wines by the glass but otherwise not too impressive. Didn’t check out bottle selection but my friends noticed no Argentine or Spanish wines to choose from (they’re from Argentina). I didn’t notice any Scotch offerings but may have missed it. Staff fairly attentive and very friendly.
Kobe hangar steak was incredible…the truffle fries were even more so
Beautiful country drive. Beautiful setting. Beautiful dining room. Beautiful sunset. Uneven service though the sommelier was most helpful in suggesting an excellent substitute when they did not have my choice. But the food was the star of the evening. The amuse bouche set the standard – a delicate smoked trout mousse on a triangle of lovash topped with big pearls of caviar. Ravioli were light, perfectly cooked and served with bright green pesto and toasted pine nuts, bathed in a fragrant tomato broth. The duck was pink and fork-tender with a crisp skin, although the fat could have stood a bit more rendering. The feather-light churros were filled with a delicious custard rich with caramelized milk and scented with rich cinnamon – a far cry from the greasy version at the ball park. A very special experience!
By far, the best in Santa Fe. Amazing service, food, & views.
